‘Fauda’ Season 4 Body Count Revealed Major Character Fates Sealed in Doron’s Mission
‘Fauda‘ has consistently shown that its characters face dire consequences, and season four reaffirmed this with a finale that left many in peril. The Netflix thriller took Doron and his team far beyond their usual operations, embarking on a mission that spanned Brussels, Syria, Lebanon, and ultimately back to Jenin, resulting in significant losses for the characters fans have followed since the beginning.
As the credits rolled, two major characters were confirmed dead, while others were left in a heart-wrenching cliffhanger, prompting viewers to speculate on who survived. Here’s a comprehensive breakdown of the deaths in ‘Fauda’ season four and the events leading up to those shocking final moments.
Season four kicks off with Doron grappling with the aftermath of the previous season, burdened by guilt over a teammate’s death and frustration after being sidelined from the unit. Captain Ayub eventually brings him back for what begins as a routine security job in Brussels.
However, the assignment quickly spirals out of control when Doron and Ayub encounter a young Lebanese informant named Omar Tawalbe, who is revealed to be working with Hezbollah.
This season also introduced several new characters, including Inbar Lavi, Amir Boutrous as Omar, Lucy Ayoub as Maya, Danny Steg, and Loai Nofi, broadening the cast beyond the usual ensemble.
Senior Shin Bet interrogator Gabi persuades Doron to accompany him to Brussels, but Omar betrays Gabi, leading him into the hands of Hezbollah operatives and igniting the rescue mission that drives the season.
The operation to rescue Gabi ultimately brings Doron and Maya, Omar’s sister, into Lebanon under a Mossad-engineered plan involving fake passports and a deepfake video to manipulate Maya into assisting in the search for her brother.
Doron and the team manage to rescue Gabi from Hezbollah’s grasp with Omar’s help, but as they make their way to the extraction helicopter, Gabi seizes Doron’s weapon and fatally shoots Omar in a moment of revenge for the torment he endured during captivity.

This moment is particularly devastating, as Omar’s death comes not from an enemy, but from the very person he helped save, leaving his sister Maya heartbroken and disillusioned with the operation that exploited her to get close to him.
Gabi survives the rescue physically, but he returns home haunted by severe PTSD, having been presumed dead by his family after Omar had previously handed over his bloodied body to Hezbollah leadership.
Meanwhile, while Omar’s storyline unfolded abroad, his cousin Adel Tawalbe orchestrated operations back at the Jenin refugee camp, using intelligence extracted from Gabi to plan assassination attempts against Shin Bet officials, including Doron and Dana.
Adel’s group successfully kills several Israelis using missiles smuggled in with Hezbollah’s support, although the Iron Dome intercepts most of the attacks before they can cause further damage.
Gabi devises a plan to use Omar’s funeral in Jenin as bait, disguising Doron’s team as mourners to draw Adel out for a final showdown.
This strategy leads to the season’s climactic battle, where Doron ultimately kills Adel amidst the chaos, eliminating the threat that had loomed over the latter half of the season, even as the mission descends into disaster for his own team.
The final confrontation in Jenin becomes a bloodbath for Doron’s unit, with Eli, Sagi, and Steve all shot by a sniper, while Russo and Doron also sustain injuries in the crossfire.
Sagi’s situation is particularly poignant, as he had just gotten engaged to Nurit earlier in the season, who had stepped back from fieldwork upon learning of her pregnancy, only for Sagi to be shot during the very operation he couldn’t avoid.
Eli, the team’s long-time commander who had been planning to leave the unit, is seen as being in the gravest danger, given the show’s history with characters on the verge of leaving.
As the season concludes, Doron is depicted lying on the ground, holding the hands of his injured comrades, a haunting final image that leaves the fates of Eli, Sagi, and Steve uncertain as the series moves forward.
‘Fauda’ has built its reputation on refusing to allow any character to feel safe, and this cliffhanger exemplifies that trend, leaving fans to ponder which of Doron’s wounded teammates may have paid the ultimate price in Jenin.
