Dua Lipa Dazzles in Feathered Ensemble at Chanel’s Spring/Summer 2027 Show

Dua Lipa has consistently transformed fashion week front rows into her personal stage. With her pop star status and a longstanding relationship with Chanel, she has become one of the brand’s most prominent figures, making her appearances anything but subtle.

Her connection to Chanel spans years, featuring custom gowns on her concert tours and her role as the face of the Chanel 25 bag. Consequently, every time she attends a Chanel show, fans eagerly anticipate which stunning piece she will showcase.

This season, Lipa wowed attendees at Chanel’s Spring/Summer 2027 show held at the Grand Palais on Monday, October 5, marking her first appearance at Paris Fashion Week this season. She opted for a striking red feathered outfit from the Cruise 2026/27 collection.

The outfit, Look 56 from Matthieu Blazy’s Cruise collection, featured a coordinated sleeveless top and skirt adorned with vibrant floral embroidery in red and pink. The florals were highlighted with black coral-like details and gold stitching, while cascading red feather trims and soft white feathers added texture to the bodice and skirt.

The skirt boasted a daring thigh-high slit. Lipa completed her look with light pink and black two-tone slingbacks featuring sculptural mushroom-shaped heels, a nod to the garden-inspired elements present in Blazy’s Chanel collections.

She accessorized with a pearl-embellished handbag and gold and diamond jewelry. Her hair was styled sleekly back into a ponytail, while her makeup featured a glowy finish with soft eyes, rosy blush, and pink lips that complemented the floral theme.

Lipa wasn’t the only one making a statement; Alexa Demie also attended in a shiny red-pink quilted mini skirt suit crafted from a fabric reminiscent of Chanel’s handbags, while Nicole Kidman and her daughter Faith opted for charcoal tones.

The front row featured notable guests like Pedro Pascal, Olivia Wilde, and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, creating an atmosphere reminiscent of a film festival rather than a fashion event. Reports indicated that Lipa and Kidman were seen dancing in their seats throughout the show.

This lively energy translated into a viral moment, as footage emerged of Lipa, Pascal, Kidman, and Kristen Wiig participating in a lip-sync video to ADÉLA’s hit ‘Nicole Kidman,’ which quickly gained traction online.

The setting was particularly fitting for Lipa’s feathered look, as Chanel transformed the Grand Palais into a whimsical landscape featuring nearly 100 birds suspended from the ceiling, a massive moon, and a multicolored glass floor.

The collection, titled ‘Free as a Bird,’ commemorated one year since Blazy’s debut at the house, showcasing a range of styles inspired by the various women Gabrielle Chanel embodied throughout her life, complete with tweed, knee-length skirts, and numerous references to the founder’s archives.

This isn’t the first time Lipa has embraced bold fashion for Chanel. At the house’s January couture show, she donned a striking yellow, black, and red skirt suit that one outlet likened to animal print on acid, styled by her stylist Lorenzo Posocco.

This latest look continues her trend of pushing the brand’s traditional boundaries, arriving at a time when she is still basking in the success of her ‘Radical Optimism’ era, which concluded its tour in Mexico City and resulted in a live album and concert film released in May.
