Few TV families have remained as connected to their fans as the Tanners and the Katsopolises, making a ‘Full House’ reunion a highly anticipated event. The beloved sitcom aired on ABC and later returned with the 2016 Netflix reboot ‘Fuller House,’ with its stars continually finding reasons to come together. This week’s gathering held special significance.

For many years, the late Bob Saget was the heart of an annual comedy benefit for the Scleroderma Research Foundation. He joined the foundation’s board in 2003, although his involvement began in 1991 when he attended and performed at the event. His commitment was deeply personal, as his sister Gay passed away from scleroderma in 1994, and he dedicated decades to raising funds and awareness for the disease until his passing in January 2022 at age 65.

The event, known as Cool Comedy • Hot Cuisine, was founded in 1987 by the foundation’s founder, Sharon Monsky, and board member Susan Feniger. It has raised over $30 million for scleroderma research and has continued after Saget’s death with support from his family and friends. Last year’s event raised more than $1.2 million, honoring Adam Duritz of Counting Crows.

On Tuesday, October 13, the 2026 edition took place at the Beverly Wilshire, A Four Seasons Hotel, in Beverly Hills. The red carpet event brought together Candace Cameron Bure, Lori Loughlin, John Stamos, and Jodie Sweetin, who posed for photos and took selfies in front of the foundation’s backdrop. This marked a rare public appearance for Bure alongside her on-screen family.

The highlight of the evening was Stamos, who received the Bob Saget Legacy Award. This award honors his late co-star, with past recipients including John Mayer and Jeff Ross, who were recognized in 2024 for their efforts in helping Saget raise funds and awareness over the years. Ross hosted this year’s event.

Bure shared with People on the red carpet that the cast all cherished Saget, who attended the event year after year. She emphasized the importance of raising awareness and funds for scleroderma while keeping his legacy alive. This sentiment set the tone for a night that blended celebration with remembrance.

Photos from the event captured a close-knit group, with Loughlin sharing a hug and Bure and Sweetin smiling alongside Stamos. Stamos donned a dark suit while Bure wore a plaid blazer over a gray corset-style top. It was a heartwarming moment for fans who grew up watching the family on television.

This isn’t the cast’s only recent reunion. In August, Loughlin, Sweetin, Stamos, Dave Coulier, and Andrea Barber came together, without Bure, for a dance video to C+C Music Factory’s ‘Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now).’ They shared it on Instagram, marking Loughlin’s return to the platform.

In that clip, the actors recorded from various locations, looking into the camera and saying “Wake up, San Francisco!” The skit paid homage to Loughlin’s character, Rebecca Donaldson, who co-hosts a morning show with Saget’s Danny Tanner. Thus, the Beverly Wilshire reunion felt like another step in a series of reunions.

Loughlin joined ‘Full House’ in 1988 for a 6-episode romance arc with Uncle Jesse but ended up staying until the series concluded. Stamos, Bure, Sweetin, and the rest of the cast became one of the most recognizable sitcom families of their time. This long history explains why fans celebrate every time the group reunites.

Bure has also been in the spotlight for her family life, as she now has two grandchildren. This adds another layer to the feeling that the cast has grown up together, both on and off screen. Moments like this red carpet appearance remind fans of the show’s lasting impact on culture.

For Saget’s friends and colleagues, the night served as a way to continue his mission. Cool Comedy • Hot Cuisine remains a fundraiser for research into a rare autoimmune disease, and each new honoree helps keep the cause in the public eye. The cast’s presence plays a vital role in raising awareness for scleroderma.
