‘A Minecraft Movie’ Is Reportedly Crushing the Box Office Around the World
A Minecraft Movie premiered on April 4, 2025 around the world and the movie is seemingly doing great. The fans are more than satisfied and the hype around the movie is truly palpable. This points to a massive financial success at the box office!
As far as the official numbers are concerned, we still don’t have them and probably won’t have them until Monday, but based on what is circulating online, it seems that the movie is doing great around the world!
Based on some social media posts, the movie might come close to breaking even in its first weekend, which would be an amazing achievement!
As of the time of writing, the only official number we have is the $10.6 million that the film earned during previews, but that is just a small fraction of what it is going to earn this weekend, as this post claims:
These are not the official numbers and Box Office Mojo will probably reveal them on Monday or late Sunday, but if this rumor is actually true, then the movie would be coming very close to breaking even after just one weekend.
The movie’s budget was confirmed to be $150 million and knowing that to break even a movie usually needs double the budget plus a bit more, you can see why doing that in just one weekend is a great feat.
On top of that, if these numbers prove to be true, it will probably mean a boost for the movie’s run during the upcoming weeks, and that means that A Minecraft Movie might become one of the year’s biggest hits in terms of its box office success.
Of course, take these numbers with a grain of salt until Monday, but we’re hopeful that they are not far off!
