The quest for the next James Bond is progressing, with new insights shedding light on the type of actor Amazon MGM seeks for this legendary role.

Casting director Nina Gold, currently collaborating with Amazon MGM on the franchise, emphasizes that the next 007 must possess a commanding screen presence and physical allure. She noted that the chosen actor needs to distinguish themselves in a very particular manner.

“[They’ve got] to ooze sex appeal,” she stated, while also underscoring the importance of solid acting skills.

Gold has reportedly been scouting potential candidates for some time, even prior to her official agreement with Amazon MGM. The aim is to find an actor who can embody James Bond and remain in the role for multiple films.

Another significant consideration is age. The actor should be youthful enough to portray the character across at least three or four films, potentially more, depending on the franchise’s trajectory.
