Antony Starr Teases Fans With New Post About ‘The Boys’ Finale
Antony Starr has shared a teaser for the upcoming finale of The Boys through a recent Instagram post, prompting fans to speculate about its implications.
The actor, known for his role as Homelander in the popular Prime Video series, posted behind-the-scenes images of himself striking a bold pose on the Oval Office set and enjoying moments with his co-stars. He captioned the post: “King of the castle, in need of a hug….and adoration… Last episode next week. 507 up now #feltcute”
The post quickly garnered attention, with one fan commenting, “yall got a lot to wrap up next week”.
Starr responded directly, saying: “@dylanrandalls life is messy. Nothing ends up tidy…..🤌🏻😬😂🔥”.
His comment ignited discussions online, with many fans speculating that the ending might not be straightforward or satisfying in a conventional sense. Some interpreted it as a suggestion that the finale could be chaotic or emotionally complex rather than neatly resolved.
Showrunner Eric Kripke also contributed to the excitement by posting about the finale screening on his own Instagram. He revealed that he attended a special 4DX screening of the final episode with the Prime Video team.
He wrote: “Testing the @4dxusa screening of @theboystv finale with the @primevideo gang. Holy fuck. A literal ride. Those who scored tickets are in for a treat. Thanks for a moment I’ll never forget.”
The final episode will also receive a limited theatrical-style release in select US cinemas before it becomes available on Prime Video. The 4DX version is anticipated to run for approximately one hour and five minutes, providing fans with an immersive experience prior to the episode’s official streaming.
While a complete synopsis has yet to be revealed, the finale is expected to pick up directly after the events of episode 7. This episode introduced significant changes, including Kimiko acquiring new powers after exposure to uranium, enhancing her as a formidable asset against Homelander. It also concluded on a somber note with the death of Frenchie, which is likely to deeply affect Kimiko’s character moving forward.
The upcoming finale is likely to signify the conclusion of the main storyline for several characters, especially with Gen V being canceled. However, the universe is poised to expand with upcoming projects like Vought Rising and the spin-off The Boys: Mexico.
