Superhero marketing often relies on explosive trailers, dark posters, and intimidating villains. However, Marvel occasionally surprises us by showcasing an unexpected side of its universe: the office environment. With the multiverse on the brink of collision, the latest promotion for ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ swaps capes for collared shirts.

Set to premiere in theaters on December 18, Marvel’s marketing strategy has been deliberate since it kicked off in December 2025 with character-centric teasers. Since then, fans have seen multiple trailers, a series of 25 new posters featuring iconic heroes like Thor, Giant-Man, Human Torch, Black Panther, and Professor X, along with a striking piece of art featuring Robert Downey Jr.’s villain. In this context, a more playful promo was sure to capture attention.

The new ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ promo invites viewers into the New Avengers Tower with a “Get Ready With Me” workday video. The on-screen text reads “GRWM for work: Avengers Tower Edition,” showcasing a cheerful receptionist in a rust-colored blazer over a blue collared shirt as she prepares for her day. Instead of action-packed battles, this promo offers a glimpse into a quieter aspect of the MCU: the front desk.

This clip serves as an advertisement for the deodorant brand Secret, promoting its Clinical line as part of the film’s wave of corporate partnerships. Like other Marvel Studios releases, ‘Doomsday’ is collaborating with popular brands to announce the return of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.

The ad features a receptionist managing calls and workplace challenges. When one call becomes confusing, she explains that the Hulk no longer works there. Another caller inquires how she remains calm amid chaos outside, to which she attributes her deodorant as her secret weapon.

This humorous take on daily life within Marvel’s New York headquarters is designed for laughs rather than grand spectacle. Fans have embraced it as one of the funniest marketing pieces for ‘Doomsday’ to date.

Perhaps the most amusing detail is also significant. Toward the end of the commercial, the receptionist assists someone trying to spell Groot’s name, possibly indicating they wish to contact the tree-like hero. According to The Direct, this marks the first mention of a Guardians of the Galaxy character in ‘Doomsday’ marketing.

This detail is crucial since the Guardians are notably absent from the film. Characters like Doctor Strange, Spider-Man, and Captain Marvel also seem poised to sit this one out, waiting for ‘Avengers: Secret Wars.’ The ad implies Marvel hasn’t forgotten about the team.

Following the events of ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3,’ the team has gone their separate ways. Peter Quill returned to Earth, Nebula and Drax remained on Knowhere, and Mantis set off with a group of Abilisks. Meanwhile, Rocket and Groot continued the team with Kraglin, Adam Warlock, Phyla, and Cosmo.

Additionally, the promo aligns with a real-world product. LEGO’s ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ New Avengers Tower is a 954-piece, four-level set standing 13.5 inches tall, featuring a helipad, lab, control room, reception area, and a working elevator. Minifigures include Yelena, Red Guardian, Bucky Barnes, Sentry, Human Torch, and a brand-new Doctor Doom.

The ground-level reception area even contains Easter eggs for fans, such as Black Panther’s claw and Thor’s Stormbreaker and Mjölnir. Priced at $109.99, the set was released on October 4, allowing fans to recreate the front desk seen in the ad.

Together, the advertisement and the toy provide a unique insight into the redesigned headquarters. The Tower is no longer just a skyline feature; it’s a functional workplace filled with phones, packages, and a very patient receptionist. It also hints at who is inside, as the ad shows her signing for packages addressed to Yelena Belova and others.

There’s a clever strategy behind the humor. ‘Doomsday’ features a vast cast and a serious tone, so a lighthearted promo allows the marketing to breathe before the multiverse descends into chaos. It also offers casual viewers a way to engage with a franchise that can seem daunting from the outside.

Brand partnerships like this are a hallmark of Marvel’s strategy, but presenting a front-desk perspective is a refreshing twist. It grounds the Avengers in a relatable world of phone calls, deliveries, and workplace stress. Even Earth’s Mightiest Heroes need someone to answer the phone.

With the LEGO set, the Doom artwork, and the playful workday video, the lead-up to December 18 promises a blend of spectacle and humor.
