Cole Hauser Comments on Upcoming Beth and Rip ‘Yellowstone’ Spin-Off
After five seasons and 53 episodes, Yellowstone ended late last year, and it has left fans wanting more. Of course, the story concluded in a proper way, and we have additional spin-offs, but fans want more content from that fictional universe.
The good news is that the franchise will continue. Some projects have been teased, some confirmed, including the upcoming spin-off series focused on Beth and Rip.
Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser are expected to reprise their respective roles, and Hauser recently commented briefly on the upcoming series in a large interview.
Cole Hauser’s Rip Wheeler was one of the most important characters in the whole series. He was a pillar of the show, and his relationship with Reilly’s Bethany “Beth” Dutton was one of the best things in the whole series.
The two shared a very deep and interesting relationship, so much that the it has been, in fact, labeled as the relationship of the series.
Of course, fans want more of their shared story, and the announced Beth and Rip spin-off series is one of the things Hauser talked about in a recent interview. He was initially asked how he felt without the cast members, to which he said, “Not having the cast around certainly [is hard]. Forrie J. Smith [who played Lloyd] has become such a great friend of mine that to think that my right-hand guy wouldn’t be there [is hard].”
The topic then quickly moved to the announced spin-off series, and Hauser was asked what he expected of the series. “But Kelly and I, we’re focused on [Rip and Beth’s] relationship and our love together, and what we’re going to get [them] into. I’m excited just like everybody else. I can’t wait to see what they come up with. Hopefully, we’ll start seeing stuff soon,” he said.
Sure, it’s not much, it’s just a tease, really, but at this point, when there is not much information to work with, even such a small tease is fine.
