Cristiano Ronaldo and Director Matthew Vaughn Start New Movie Studio UR•Marv

Soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo and movie director Matthew Vaughn have teamed up to start a new film studio called UR•Marv.

This new company mixes the world of top sports with Hollywood movies. Together, Ronaldo and Vaughn want to change how movies are made by using new technology while still respecting classic filmmaking.

UR•Marv already has results to show. They have finished two action films and are working on a third one. All three movies are part of the same series, and more details about the first film will be announced soon.

“This is an exciting chapter for me, as I look ahead to new ventures in business,” said Ronaldo.

“Cristiano has created stories on the pitch that I could never have written, and I look forward to creating inspiring movies with him – he’s a real-life superhero,” said Vaughn.

Matthew Vaughn is known for making stylish action films. He directed movies like Layer Cake (2004), Kick-Ass (2010), and X-Men: First Class (2011). In 2014, he made the popular Kingsman movies, which mix spy action with fun and sharp humor.

His company, Marv, also produces many of his own films and has more Kingsman movies coming soon. In 2024, Vaughn directed Argylle, a spy movie starring Henry Cavill and Bryce Dallas Howard.

Cristiano Ronaldo, one of the world’s most famous soccer players, has also been growing his brand outside of sports. In 2023, he became a major investor in Medialivre, a large media company in Portugal.

In August 2024, he started a YouTube channel called “UR Cristiano,” where he shares personal stories and fun challenges. These moves show that Ronaldo is planning for a future in entertainment, beyond his soccer career.

With UR•Marv, Ronaldo and Vaughn are bringing together the energy of sports and the creativity of movies to build something new and exciting.
