Disney Previews Seven Publications Ahead of ‘Star Wars’ Celebration Japan, Including a New Vader Novel

The Star Wars Celebration Japan 2025 event is taking place in a week, and we expect a lot of revelations about the future of the franchise, as well as some new projects and releases.

And while we don’t have any details related to what we can expect from the event, Disney has been kind to provide us with some previews.

Namely, a total of seven new Star Wars publications have been revealed, and in this report, we are going to provide you with the necessary information about each of them.

The biggest reveal of them is a new Darth Vader novel, Master of Evil by Adam Christopher. Set in the pre-A New Hope era, the novel “chronicles Vader’s haunting pursuit for the power to conquer death.” It will be released on November 11, 2025.

The next edition is the Doug Chiang: The Cinematic Legacy And The Star Wars Legacy special. This “two-volume, 800-page deluxe slipcased collection celebrates Academy Award–winning artist and designer Doug Chiang” and will be released on December 2, 2025.

Next, we have something for the youngest fans. Star Wars: I Find Your Lack of Candy Disturbing is a “fun greeting-card-in-a-book features some of our favorite characters from a galaxy far, far away in all their ghoulish glory.” It is coming out on August , 2025.

Fans of The Acolyte will also get something big this year when The Art of Star Wars: The Acolyte comes out. As you can imagine, this book is going to dig deeper into the world of the controversial series. It is set to be released on  October 7, 2025. On top of that, The Acolyte Visual Guide will also be released in the UK on June 5, 2025 and in the US on June 17, 2025.

We are also getting an updated version of the popular Star Wars: The Blueprints book, which covers the technical aspects of the universe’s lore. It is coming out in the UK on October 2, 2025 and the US on October 7, 2025.

Finally, the Star Wars: Women of the Galaxy edition is also getting an update which will include entries on the women of Andor, Omega from Star Wars: The Bad Batch, Peli Motto from The Mandalorian, Avar Kriss from The High Republic, and Shin Hati of Ahsoka, among others. The book is coming out on April 29, 2025.
