Donald Trump has shared a new AI-generated video on his social media platform Truth Social, where he portrays a fictional doctor addressing what he refers to as “Trump Derangement Syndrome.”

The video was posted late Wednesday night, just before the July 4 holiday weekend. In the clip, Trump appears as “Dr. Trump,” adopting a tone reminiscent of a medical advertisement. He presents a so-called “treatment plan” for individuals he claims are afflicted by this fictional condition.

The video quickly transitions into AI-generated testimonials from various well-known celebrities, including Whoopi Goldberg, Robert De Niro, Rosie O’Donnell, Julia Roberts, John Leguizamo, and Edward Norton. These celebrities appear in fabricated video segments discussing symptoms associated with “TDS,” which is not a recognized medical diagnosis.

In the AI rendition of Rosie O’Donnell, her character states, “I have been suffering for over a decade and after listening to Dr. Trump, I can see some results.” An AI-generated Robert De Niro adds, “I had no idea how much this was affecting my life. My work has slowed down. I’m hardly recognizable anymore. I just needed help. I couldn’t eat. I couldn’t sleep. Constantly angry. I made everyone miserable around me.”

A digital version of Julia Roberts also makes an appearance, saying, “I feel like I’ve aged 20 years in the last two years,” while voicing her worries about the future. The video concludes with “Dr. Trump” proposing a simple remedy for the fictional ailment. According to the clip, the “cure” involves turning off news channels he disagrees with, praying, and drinking Diet Coke. In the final line of the video, he states, “Turn off fake news. Say your prayers and, if you ever feel anxious, just have a Diet Coke like me and you’re gonna see a remarkable difference in your life.”

This post is the latest instance of Trump utilizing AI-generated content on social media. In recent months, he has released multiple AI-created images and videos, including depictions of himself as a religious figure, a superhero, and even fictional political scenarios involving public figures.

The White House has previously defended some of these posts as satire, although others have been removed following public backlash. Trump has often maintained that he shares posts promptly and does not always scrutinize every detail.

The “Dr. Trump” video continues a trend of politically charged and digitally manipulated content featuring public figures. The use of recognizable celebrities in AI form has contributed to the heightened attention this post is receiving online.

The video is still accessible on Trump’s Truth Social account, where it continues to circulate and elicit responses from both supporters and critics.
