She is characterized as a Sindar Elf from the Woodland Realm, serving as a trusted ally to King Thranduil.
During her interview, Taylor-Joy remarked that embracing this role felt remarkably natural. She humorously noted that playing an elf was something she had anticipated throughout her life. “I feel like I’ve been an elf my whole life, so it feels very validating to go and actually be able to do it as a job,” she shared.
The actress also expressed her joy about returning to such an iconic fantasy universe. She revealed her long-standing admiration for The Lord of the Rings and her eagerness to collaborate with director Andy Serkis, who is helming the project and reprising his role as Gollum.
Taylor-Joy praised Serkis throughout the discussion, highlighting him as someone she has looked up to for years. “I’m a huge fan of Lord of the Rings. I’m a huge fan of Andy Serkis,” she stated. “He’s a wonderful man and a wonderful, innovative creator.”
