‘Euphoria’ Cast Member Addresses Zendaya and Sydney Sweeney Feud Rumors
Rumors regarding a supposed conflict between Zendaya and Sydney Sweeney on the set of Euphoria have been circulating online, but a cast member from the HBO series has stepped in to clarify the situation.
Jessica Blair Herman, who is part of the upcoming season, spoke out during an interview to dispel the speculation. Her comments come after weeks of fan theories and social media chatter suggesting there was behind-the-scenes drama between the two lead actresses.
According to Herman, she has not witnessed any feud while working on the series. She emphasized that the atmosphere on set is much more relaxed than what the online rumors imply. She stated, “They really did. And I’m not just saying that.”
The speculation intensified when Sydney Sweeney was missing from a recent cast photo, prompting some fans to assume there was tension. This was further fueled by unverified reports claiming the two actresses were not getting along and would be relieved when the show concludes.
Herman countered those claims, explaining that the reality is much simpler. She noted, “To be fair, when I was there, they’re not sharing scenes. Their storylines are very separate, you’re shooting on different days and stuff.”
She also added that there was no conflict on set and described the working environment as normal and focused. “There was no drama,” she said. “Everyone wants to do the work.”
These rumors may have been exacerbated by the fact that both Zendaya and Sydney Sweeney are incredibly busy outside of Euphoria. Zendaya is currently involved in major upcoming projects including Dune: Part Three and Spider-Man: Brand New Day, while Sweeney is working on a sequel to The Housemaid along with various brand partnerships and her fashion business.
With both actresses often working on different schedules and separate storylines within the series, cast members indicate that there is little overlap that would allow for frequent interaction during filming.
As of now, neither Zendaya nor Sydney Sweeney has directly addressed the rumors. Based on the insights shared by those on set, the notion of a rivalry seems to stem more from fan speculation than any actual discord behind the scenes.
