A prediction market known as Polymarket is fueling a surge of fan speculation surrounding the HBO series ‘Euphoria’, with participants wagering real money on which characters may meet their demise in season three. This information stems directly from the activity on Polymarket, a platform where users trade predictions as if they were financial assets.

The market, titled “Who will die in ‘Euphoria’: Season 3?”, has experienced significant trading as the show approaches its May 31 finale. According to data from the platform, Zendaya’s character Rue Bennett currently has approximately 50% odds of dying in the final episode.

Betting trends have shifted rapidly over time. Early in the season, Nate Jacobs, portrayed by Jacob Elordi, was the leading prediction for a character death. At one point, his odds soared to as high as 87%. However, that prediction is no longer relevant after a shocking twist in episode seven, where the character was killed off in a brutal scene involving being buried alive and a rattlesnake attack. This outcome has removed him from the market entirely.

Rue’s increasing odds follow a tense moment in episode five, which concluded with Rue in a perilous situation, buried up to her neck in dirt while a new character, Alamo Brown, approached her on horseback wielding a polo mallet. This cliffhanger became one of the most discussed scenes of the season, leading more bettors to consider the possibility that Rue might not survive the finale.

Polymarket has established strict rules regarding how the betting resolves. A character is only deemed “dead” if their death is explicitly shown in the show or confirmed through dialogue. The death must also be permanent; if a character is later revived or brought back, it does not count as a valid death for the market.

The platform clarifies that ambiguity does not qualify. If the show leaves a character’s fate uncertain, it will not be recognized as a confirmed death. Only events depicted in official episodes of ‘Euphoria’ season three will be used to settle the market, and any extra content outside the show is irrelevant.

The betting activity has transformed the final episodes into a live prediction game for some viewers. Rather than merely watching the narrative unfold, users are now financially invested in predicting the characters’ outcomes.

A summary of the market rules posted on Polymarket states, “A qualifying death must show the specified character dead on screen, or otherwise that character’s death must clearly be stated to have occurred, even if offscreen (e.g., characters confirm their death in conversation, the funeral of a character occurs, etc.).”

The same rules also delineate what constitutes a real death in the show, including confirmation on screen or through dialogue, while excluding dream sequences, flashbacks, or temporary deaths that are later reversed.

As the finale nears, all eyes are on whether Rue will make it through. The uncertainty surrounding her fate has made her the focal point of discussion on the betting platform and across social media.

With Polymarket turning fictional outcomes into real-money predictions, the final episodes of ‘Euphoria’ season three are being viewed not only as entertainment but also as high-stakes speculation about what will happen next.
