First Look at ‘The White Lotus’ Season 4 Filming in Cannes with New Footage

Production for the fourth season of ‘The White Lotus’ has officially kicked off in France, as confirmed by entertainment reports and early footage circulating on social media. The filming is taking place during the Cannes Film Festival, which has generated additional buzz around the new season.

The new season is being shot along the stunning French Riviera, with key locations including Cannes, Saint-Tropez, and Paris. Clips shared on social media from the festival already feature cast members on set, offering fans a sneak peek into the upcoming season’s vibe.

Created by Mike White for HBO, the series continues to delve into the lives of affluent guests and the ensuing drama in luxurious vacation spots. This time, the narrative is expected to explore themes of fame and celebrity culture, with Cannes and the film industry at its core.

HBO executive producer David Bernad shared that the choice of location was inspired by Mike White’s strong connection to the French Riviera. Although multiple European locations were initially considered, White’s experience in southern France ultimately led to a focus on this picturesque region.

The Hôtel Martinez in Cannes is expected to serve as one of the main filming locations for the season. Production is set to continue throughout 2026, with filming scheduled over several months.

The cast for this season features a blend of returning favorites and new faces. Confirmed names include Steve Coogan, Ben Kingsley, Kumail Nanjiani, Heather Graham, and Vincent Cassel. Newcomers joining the ensemble include Alexander Ludwig, Chris Messina, Rosie Perez, Max Greenfield, Chloe Bennet, and Laura Dern, who was recently spotted filming beach scenes in Saint-Tropez.

Additional cast members include Sandra Bernhard, Frida Gustavsson, Charlie Hall, and several other supporting actors, enriching the storyline for the new season.

According to HBO’s confirmation reported in late 2025, the fourth season is entirely set in France, with filming planned from April to October 2026. The emphasis on the Cannes Film Festival indicates that the plot will closely intertwine with themes of cinema, fame, and public perception.

As production progresses, early footage from Cannes is already generating excitement for ‘The White Lotus’, with fans eagerly awaiting more updates from the set.
