Netflix’s latest mystery series, ‘I Will Find You’, has officially premiered, and critics are already sharing their insights on this new adaptation from bestselling author Harlan Coben.

This eight-part thriller, based on Coben’s 2023 novel of the same name, debuted on June 18, 2026, bringing yet another twist-filled narrative to the streaming platform. Coben serves as an executive producer for the series, which features a cast including Sam Worthington, Britt Lower, Milo Ventimiglia, and Erin Richards.

The plot centers around David Burroughs, portrayed by Worthington, a man who has spent years behind bars after being wrongfully convicted of murdering his young son. His life takes a dramatic turn when he receives shocking news that suggests his son may still be alive. This revelation sparks a desperate search filled with secrets, hidden truths, and a race to uncover the reality of what transpired.

The initial reviews are in, and the series currently boasts a 71% Tomatometer score on Rotten Tomatoes, based on seven critic reviews.

Some reviewers have commended the show for delivering the fast-paced mystery that fans have come to expect from Coben’s work. Screen Rant gave the series a favorable review, describing it as a gripping mystery that quickly captivates viewers. While the outlet noted some weaker moments, it still delivers a “wild, twisting ride” that keeps audiences engaged until the end.

Heaven of Horror also expressed admiration for the series, highlighting the blend of crime mystery and conspiracy thriller elements. The review characterized the show as an intense journey that delves into both the best and worst aspects of human nature.

Conversely, Collider provided a more mixed but still positive critique. The review suggested that ‘I Will Find You’ does not completely reinvent the mystery genre but remains an enjoyable binge-watch for fans of Coben’s previous Netflix adaptations.

However, not all critics were convinced. Next Best Picture assigned the series a lower score, arguing that the emotional moments sometimes lack sufficient buildup. The review explained that while the mystery is compelling, the story struggles to forge the deeper emotional connection it aspires to achieve.

The Daily Beast also critiqued the show’s dramatic style, describing it as “overflowing with the sort of junk-food melodrama that’ll make viewers crave additional servings.”

Despite the mixed reviews, early feedback indicates that ‘I Will Find You’ delivers precisely what many viewers anticipate from a Harlan Coben adaptation: a complex mystery filled with surprises, dramatic twists, and characters harboring significant secrets.

The series adds to Netflix’s expanding collection of Coben adaptations, which includes ‘Fool Me Once’, ‘Stay Close’, and ‘The Stranger’. While critics may disagree on its emotional depth, fans of the author’s signature twists may find ‘I Will Find You’ to be another binge-worthy mystery that’s hard to resist.
