John Boyega Wants Finn to Have Ezra Bridger’s Weapon in the Future: “Give me that guy’s thing.”

And while the future of the Star Wars franchise post-Sequel Trilogy is very unclear at this point, this doesn’t stop people from speculating, especially if these people are those who’ve actually participated in the series.

Actor John Boyega had his breakout role as Finn in the Sequel Trilogy, and while he himself had a very bad split with Disney, Finn remains as one of the best-written characters from the three movies, as well as one of the most popular.

In a recent talk with the media, Boyega revealed what he would like for Finn in the future, and we have all the details here for you!

During the interview, Boyega was asked about Daisy Ridley’s upcoming Star Wars movie. Funny enough, he said he found out about it online and he wished her all the best, hoping that she will be able to shine in the franchise.

As for Finn, Boyega did not reveal anything firm, as there obviously is no news on whether he will be part of any future project, but he was asked to say what he wanted for Finn in the future.

After joking that there’s only so much that he can do, seeing how Mickey Mouse owns Star Wars, he did say that he wanted Finn to become more of a “Jedi scoundrel” type, something like Ezra Bridger.

“Give me a blaster-saber, though. I want the combo. Ezra [Bridger] had the combo, right? Give me that guy’s thing,” he added, referring to Ezra’s iconic weapon. It is good that Boyega sees Finn as a Jedi in the future, as a good guy, and we can only hope that Disney will find a place for Finn in future projects.
