Netflix is expanding the reach of ‘KPop Demon Hunters’ by transforming it into a live global concert experience.

This exciting announcement was made during Netflix’s Upfront presentation on Wednesday, with the company partnering with AEG Presents to launch a worldwide tour inspired by the animated film.

Netflix described the event as offering “a live experience that will bring elements of the two-time Oscar-winning film to life in spectacular ways.” However, detailed information about the tour is still scarce.

It remains unclear if the concert will feature the singing voices of the movie’s fictional groups, Huntrix and the Saja Boys. The Huntrix vocals were provided by EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami, while the speaking roles were voiced by Arden Cho, May Hong, and Ji-young Yoo.

Directed by Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans, the film follows Huntrix, a K-pop girl group that secretly battles supernatural monsters while navigating the pressures of fame and the music industry. Since its release in 2025, it has transformed from a niche film into a global sensation.

According to Netflix, the movie became its most-watched film ever and produced chart-topping songs. The soundtrack gained immense popularity, even among audiences outside traditional K-pop fans, which helped the film cultivate a broad global following.

AEG Presents, known for organizing major live concerts for prominent K-pop acts like BLACKPINK, ATEEZ, ENHYPEN, and TOMORROW X TOGETHER, is expected to play a significant role in shaping the scale of the upcoming concert.

For now, fans can join a waitlist to receive updates. Netflix has not announced any tour dates or cities yet, but more information is anticipated later this year.

The rise of ‘KPop Demon Hunters’ has been remarkable. What began as an animated film has evolved into a cultural phenomenon, making waves across streaming platforms, music charts, and award shows. It has even garnered significant accolades, including two Academy Awards and a Grammy win for K-pop.

The film’s success has also sparked discussions for a sequel. Development talks between Netflix and Sony Animation are already underway, and Netflix has confirmed that directors Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans have signed new agreements to continue the story under a multiyear deal.

While no release date for the sequel has been revealed yet, the new concert tour indicates that Netflix is committed to expanding the franchise while interest remains high worldwide.
