Celebrity get-ready videos have evolved into a unique genre, but few stars embrace them as performance art quite like Lady Gaga. Her makeup routine clips feel less like tutorials and more like intimate performances. When the beauty mogul shares her routine from her bathroom mirror, fans are all ears.

This instinct is deeply rooted in her brand. Gaga launched her cosmetics line Haus Labs in 2019, originally named Haus Laboratories, as the first beauty brand to debut exclusively on Amazon. It was relaunched in 2022 as Haus Labs in partnership with Sephora after removing around 2,700 ingredients she deemed undesirable.

So, it was no surprise when Gaga shared a fresh at-home makeup video on Instagram on Wednesday, Oct. 7, showcasing her entire routine from a bare face to a glamorous finish. The clip, framed as her take on home glamour, had fans swooning, with many praising her as the makeup queen. This video is part of a recent series of beauty posts, following earlier routines shared on Sept. 3 and Sept. 25.

The video starts with her skin completely bare, hair slicked back, and a sparkling ring adorning her hand. She begins by applying face oil, followed by a cream she humorously referred to as her secret sauce. She then moves through foundation, contour, and bronzer, sweeping the bronzer across her chest and collarbones as well.

Gaga applies thin, careful layers across her face, neck, and collarbone area. She completes the look with concealer, lip liner, and a cream blush, which she blends using her fingertips instead of a brush. The result is a warm, sculpted glow that appears polished yet not overdone.

The soundtrack enhances the atmosphere. A Chopin nocturne plays softly in the background, performed by Raqib Hasan RaNe, giving the entire routine a serene, almost cinematic quality. Gaga changes outfits multiple times during the video, transitioning from a pink sweater to a blue strappy top, and finally to a cozy brown cable-knit sweater paired with dark sunglasses. She concludes by flashing a peace sign and sending a message of love to her followers.

This video emerges at a notably private time in Gaga’s life. Reports suggest that she and her fiancé, tech executive Michael Polansky, welcomed a daughter named Rose Bean Polansky on June 9, as indicated by a birth certificate reportedly obtained by TMZ. The baby was said to be born at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.

Some sources have also claimed that the baby was born via surrogate, although those details remain unconfirmed. Neither Gaga, Polansky, nor their representatives have publicly commented on the matter. Earlier photos showed Gaga strolling in Northern California with a swaddled newborn, accompanied by Polansky.

A source informed US Weekly that Gaga is cherishing private family moments at their home in Northern California. In this context, a calm, self-directed beauty video serves as a gentle way to connect with fans while maintaining her privacy. It also underscores her control over what she chooses to share.

Part of the allure lies in the contrast. Gaga is renowned for her theatrical, boundary-pushing looks, yet her at-home routines strip everything back to technique, texture, and patience. Watching her blend cream blush with her fingers is oddly satisfying, making a high-end result feel accessible.

There’s also a practical benefit for her brand. Haus Labs revamped its formulas during its relaunch, introducing a foundation called Triclone Skin Tech, available in 51 shades. A portion of every purchase on its website supports the Born This Way Foundation, a nonprofit co-founded by Gaga.

For viewers, the appeal is more straightforward. It’s a rare opportunity to witness a global pop star slow down and indulge in a ritual that many perform in front of a mirror daily. The warm lighting, classical piano, and cozy sweater all contribute to a vibe that fans clearly crave.
