Liam Neeson & Zachary Levi’s ‘The Fix’ Gets Release Date and New Title
Liam Neeson and Zachary Levi’s upcoming action thriller has undergone a title change and now has a confirmed theatrical release date. Previously known as ‘Hotel Tehran’, the film will now be titled ‘The Fix’ and is set to hit theaters on September 11.
As reported by The Hollywood Reporter, Inaugural Entertainment has acquired the movie for a wide theatrical release. Directed by Guy Moshe, who co-wrote the screenplay alongside Mark Bacci and Ron Hutchinson, the film promises to deliver an engaging narrative.
‘The Fix’ revolves around a perilous mission in Iran, following a group of former CIA operatives seeking redemption for a past failure. The plot centers on Larry, portrayed by Liam Neeson, and Tucker, played by Zachary Levi, as they embark on a risky rescue operation in Tehran.
The team aims to recover from a failed mission in Afghanistan, but their new assignment quickly escalates into a fight for survival. In addition to Neeson and Levi, the film features an ensemble cast including Quincy Isaiah, Wes Chatham, Jake Choi, Augusto Aguilera, Navid Negahban, Elnaaz Norouzi, Grant Harvey, Lara Wolf, Annet Mahendru, and Titus Welliver.
Director Guy Moshe stated that the film aims to delve deeper than mere action, focusing on the emotional weight and tough decisions associated with war. “The Fix was born from a longstanding desire of mine to put audiences inside the chaos and moral weight of war, not just the action of it,” Moshe remarked.
He also commended the cast for adding a more profound human element to the narrative. “Working with an ensemble cast that was entirely committed to our cause, led by Liam and Zac, who set the tone, allowed me to push the story into deeply human territory while still delivering the visceral, large-scale filmmaking this genre demands,” he added.
Inaugural Entertainment CEO Kevin Weisberg expressed his enthusiasm for bringing the film to theaters. He characterized ‘The Fix’ as a significant release for the company’s fall lineup and praised the performances of its leading actors.
“We are thrilled to bring ‘The Fix’ to wide theatrical audiences as a cornerstone of our fall slate,” Weisberg said. “Guy Moshe has crafted a propulsive, incredibly sophisticated action thriller that demands to be experienced on the big screen.”
He emphasized that the film merges action with emotional storytelling, featuring “intense, edge-of-your-seat spectacle with real emotional stakes.”
Produced by Astral Future in collaboration with Latigo Films and Dreamtime Films, the project also received support from several production companies, including Oakhurst Entertainment, BondIt Media Capital, Eyevox Entertainment, Blue Rider Media, and Thomasville Pictures.
Producer Zamias mentioned that they believed Inaugural Entertainment was the ideal partner to present the film to audiences. “Our intention was to make an entertaining, character-driven action thriller that is both timely and timeless, and as producers we are extremely proud of the cast and crew that coalesced around Guy’s vision,” he stated.
‘The Fix’ is anticipated to arrive in theaters nationwide on September 11, marking yet another action role for Liam Neeson and a new big-screen thriller for Zachary Levi.
