Livvy Dunne Channels ‘Baywatch’ Energy in Daring High-Cut Swimsuit Look
Gymnast and social media star Livvy Dunne is stepping into a new role in the highly anticipated ‘Baywatch’ reboot, and early set images are already capturing attention.
The LSU athlete was spotted filming beach scenes in a vibrant red swimsuit that pays homage to the iconic look from the original series.
Dunne was seen on location inside a red Los Angeles Lifeguard truck as cameras rolled for the production. The scene placed her in a sunny beach setting, perfectly matching the familiar vibe that made ‘Baywatch’ a global sensation.
Her outfit featured a modern twist on the classic lifeguard uniform. The high-cut swimsuit showcased her athletic physique, complemented by a deep neckline that added a dramatic flair while maintaining the recognizable red theme. The styling successfully balances nostalgia with a contemporary visual approach for today’s audience.
She completed her look with simple accessories, including a sporty black digital watch. Her hair flowed in loose, natural waves, swaying with the ocean breeze and enhancing the relaxed beach vibe of the shoot. The overall scene exuded a polished yet energetic feel, ideal for a series centered around lifeguards and coastal action.
The ‘Baywatch’ reboot has been in the works for several years. According to earlier production updates, FremantleMedia International first considered reviving the series in 2023. By 2024, Fremantle and Fox Entertainment officially joined forces to advance the project, with Lara Olsen serving as writer and showrunner.
In 2025, Fox granted the reboot a full series order of 12 episodes, setting it for the 2026–27 television season. The production also benefited from a significant California tax credit program, which helped cover filming costs for the extensive beach shoot.
Casting announcements have steadily heightened excitement around the project. Stephen Amell will portray an adult version of Hobie Buchannon, while David Chokachi returns to reprise his role as Cody Madison from the original series. Other cast members include Jessica Belkin, Shay Mitchell, Noah Beck, and more, with Livvy Dunne appearing in a recurring role as a junior lifeguard.
Additional familiar faces are also returning. Erika Eleniak is set to reprise her role as Shauni McClain, while Mary McDonnell, Michael Bergin, and Kelly Packard have also joined in recurring roles connected to the original storyline.
For Livvy Dunne, this marks one of her most significant entertainment appearances outside of gymnastics and social media. Her involvement brings a fresh, modern presence to a franchise celebrated for its blend of action, beach lifestyle, and pop culture appeal.
As filming progresses, the reboot is shaping up to merge nostalgia with a new generation of cast members, and Dunne’s early scenes are already among the most discussed elements of the production.
