Odessa A’zion made her debut at the Met Gala this year, where her unique and personal style quickly captured attention. The event, celebrated for its extravagant red carpet, was themed “Fashion Is Art” in 2026, aligning with The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s spring exhibition that explores the intersection of clothing and art.

In a conversation with Entertainment Tonight, A’zion revealed her hands-on approach to her glam for the evening. She opted not to use a full glam team for her hair and makeup.

“I do my hair and makeup myself,” she stated.

When asked if this was typical for her, she candidly shared her reasoning. “Yeah, I just have a problem with too many people touching me at once. I don’t like it. And I also just am so specific.”

For the gala, she chose a softer makeup look adorned with small jewels on her face. Her hair was styled in voluminous curls using extensions, as she had recently cut her hair short for a film role.

“They chopped my hair off for a movie, so it’s extensions,” she explained. “Yeah, my hair is shoulder-length right now. I miss it.”

Her outfit was a custom creation from Valentino, featuring a black corset and a long jacket embellished with colorful leaf designs and intricate beadwork. She completed the ensemble with tights, thigh-high boots, and jewelry from Pandora, showcasing butterfly, flower, and heart motifs.

A’zion also expressed what she was most eager about during the event. She mentioned that the best moment would come after the festivities. “I think the best part will be when we can all relax and I can take it off, ‘cause I’m a little bit— I can’t breathe that much right now,” she said, referring to her corset.

This year’s Met Gala gathered a star-studded lineup from the realms of fashion, film, and music, featuring guests like Blake Lively, Sabrina Carpenter, Teyana Taylor, Margot Robbie, and Zoë Kravitz.
