Meet the Stars of ‘The Walking Dead: Dead City’ Season 3 as Full Cast Revealed

Fans of ‘The Walking Dead’ universe can now mark their calendars for an exciting return. AMC has announced that ‘The Walking Dead: Dead City’ will premiere its third season on July 26. This spin-off series, which follows Maggie and Negan after the events of the original show, is set to return nearly a year after the last season aired.

Recently, AMC released a brief teaser for the upcoming season, offering viewers a glimpse of what to expect. The footage showcases Maggie and Negan once again teaming up in New York City, a location that remains perilous in the post-apocalyptic landscape. Despite their tumultuous history, the duo seems prepared to set aside past grievances as they tackle new challenges.

According to AMC’s official synopsis, Season 3 centers on Maggie and Negan’s quest to establish the first thriving community in Manhattan since the onset of the zombie outbreak. Their aim is to bring stability and hope to the city, but obstacles quickly arise. As tensions escalate and threats loom, both characters must confront tough questions about their past choices and whether they have truly evolved.

The series continues to feature Lauren Cohan as Maggie and Jeffrey Dean Morgan as Negan. Both actors reprise their roles that endeared them to fans during the original ‘The Walking Dead’ series. AMC has also confirmed several additional cast members for the new season.

As per an AMC press release, the main cast includes Lauren Cohan, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Jimmi Simpson, Raúl Castillo, Aimee Garcia, Logan Kim, and Michael Emery. Simpson joins the series as a new character for Season 3, while Garcia returns as Renata.

AMC previously described Renata as “a disarmingly charming leader with a natural ability to win people over with her optimism and convivial personality.” This character is expected to play a significant role in the upcoming episodes as the struggle for control and survival intensifies throughout Manhattan.

Created by Eli Jorné, ‘Dead City’ is the fifth television series within ‘The Walking Dead’ franchise. Since the original show launched in 2010, the franchise has expanded into multiple spin-offs that delve into various characters and narratives from the same universe. ‘Dead City’ has emerged as one of the most successful projects, largely due to the compelling dynamic between Maggie and Negan.

The ‘Walking Dead’ franchise is also branching out beyond television. Last month, Ares Interactive and AMC Networks announced a new video game titled ‘The Walking Dead: Aftermath.’ This game is set to launch this summer on iOS and Android devices, with plans for additional platforms in the future.

According to the announcement, the game will feature fast-paced combat, survival gameplay, and base-building elements. Players can control beloved characters like Rick Grimes, Daryl Dixon, and Michonne while battling walkers and completing missions in familiar settings from the television series.

With a new season of ‘Dead City’ on the horizon and a new game in development, fans of ‘The Walking Dead’ universe have much to anticipate in the coming months.
