Mystery Blonde Spotted in ‘The Batman Part II’ Batmobile Who Is Riding with Batman?
Set photos and leaked footage have become essential for fans piecing together what Matt Reeves is crafting for his ‘Batman‘ sequel, especially since Warner Bros. has kept actual plot details tightly under wraps. Each new clip from the Glasgow shoot has turned into its own mini mystery for fans to analyze.
This mystery deepened significantly with the film’s central romantic subplot still largely unconfirmed. Since reports emerged that a major new star had joined the cast in an undisclosed role, speculation about who will be riding alongside Bruce Wayne this time has only intensified.
A new video from the production has provided fans with something concrete to ponder. Footage from the Glasgow set shows a blonde woman sitting in the passenger seat of the Batmobile, reigniting questions about her potential role in ‘The Batman: Part II.’
This sighting closely aligns with previous reports indicating that Scarlett Johansson is set to take on a significant role in the sequel. Outlets like Deadline and Variety have reported that she is nearing confirmation as the film’s first major new cast addition, though her specific character remains unverified.
Early rumors suggested Johansson might be portraying a love interest for Pattinson’s Bruce Wayne, while others have speculated she could be playing Vicki Vale, a journalist character with a long-standing history in Batman lore. A blonde woman sitting next to Batman in his vehicle certainly aligns with either possibility.
Aside from the mystery passenger, details about the sequel’s plot are still scarce. What is confirmed is that the story takes place sometime after the events of HBO’s ‘The Penguin’ series, continuing to explore the aftermath of Gotham’s catastrophic flood from the first film.
Notably, Zoe Kravitz’s Catwoman is absent from the current cast list, with Variety reporting she is not expected to return for this installment. This absence has frustrated many fans, given the chemistry between her and Pattinson’s Batman was central to the first film’s romantic narrative, making the identity of this new blonde character all the more significant.
Johansson isn’t the only notable addition to the sequel’s cast. Sebastian Stan has also joined in an undisclosed role, continuing the trend of the production keeping its new characters deliberately mysterious ahead of release.
Returning cast members include Robert Pattinson as Bruce Wayne, Colin Farrell as Oz Cobb, Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner Gordon, and Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth. Barry Keoghan is also expected to return in some capacity as the Joker, continuing a thread first teased at the end of the original film.
Director Matt Reeves confirmed earlier this year that the sequel is set during winter, sharing an early teaser image of the Batmobile undergoing a camera test captioned “SnowTires.” This wintry setting has been evident in subsequent set photos and footage, highlighting how different this film’s atmosphere will feel compared to the noir-drenched original.
With so many elements of the story still deliberately obscured, a single shot of an unidentified blonde woman in the Batmobile has been enough to send fans into overdrive. Whether she turns out to be Johansson’s character or someone else entirely, the mystery adds another layer to a production that has clearly mastered the art of the tease.
