The highly anticipated ‘Masters of the Universe’ movie is set to bring the iconic characters of Mattel’s beloved franchise to life on the big screen. Directed by Travis Knight, this superhero film features an exciting cast, including Nicholas Galitzine as Prince Adam/He-Man, Camila Mendes as Teela, and Jared Leto as the villainous Skeletor.

Alongside them are Alison Brie and Idris Elba, adding even more star power to this epic tale. Scheduled for release on June 5, 2026, the film will follow Prince Adam’s journey from a crash-landing on Earth to his rise as He-Man, defender of the planet Eternia.

Filming for the movie is currently taking place in London, and due to that, we have access to a variety of set leaks. A few days ago, we shared photos of Galitzine in the role alongside his co-star Camila Mendes, now notable leaker UnBoxPHD shared a scene being filmed featuring Beast Man, or rather, a character that will be Beast Man once the CGI is added.

As you can see in the video, the crowd quickly scatters away as the scene begins, telltale roar can also be heard.

Filming for Masters of the Universe started on January 6, 2025, in London, with Fabian Wagner as the cinematographer. The movie was originally supposed to start filming in Prague back in 2019, then in the summer of 2022, and later in April 2023.

In February 2025, several actors joined the cast, including Morena Baccarin as the Sorceress of Castle Grayskull, Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson as Fisto, James Purefoy as King Randor, Charlotte Riley as Queen Marlena, Jon Xue Zhang as Ram-Man, Sasheer Zamata as Suzie, and Christian Vunipola as Hussein.

Masters of the Universe is scheduled to be released by Amazon MGM Studios on June 5, 2026.
