New ‘The Batman Part II’ Set Footage Shows Shocking Alfred and Bruce Wayne Moment
Gotham City has always thrived on chaos, but fans are in for a surprise as they witness its guardian needing saving. As production progresses on Matt Reeves’ eagerly awaited sequel, the secretive nature of the shoot has made every leaked clip feel like a genuine event for dedicated followers.
This week, that secrecy was compromised again as new footage emerged from the set, offering audiences an unusually close look at what’s ahead. With most plot details for ‘The Batman Part II’ kept tightly under wraps, any unscripted leak tends to ignite immediate speculation.
This particular leak stands out as one of the more revealing ones. Set videos filmed in Glasgow, Scotland, depict Alfred Pennyworth performing CPR on Bruce Wayne, who appears to regain consciousness and share a tense exchange with his butler upon waking.
Adding another layer of intrigue, a closer look at the footage suggests Bruce is shown in handcuffs during the sequence, indicating he may have encountered serious trouble with someone more powerful than your average Gotham criminal. Notably, Bruce doesn’t appear to be suited up as Batman in these shots, raising the possibility that this threat is targeting Bruce Wayne rather than his caped alter ego.
It remains unclear whether stars Robert Pattinson and Andy Serkis were physically present for these specific takes, though evidence suggests Serkis likely was on set due to the nature of the scene. If these clips capture rehearsal footage ahead of a later filming session, the final version could look quite different by the time it reaches theaters.
Beyond the resuscitation scene, additional footage from the same shoot reportedly shows a boat still parked on location, displaying a flag that onlookers speculate could belong to someone of significant importance within Gotham’s power structure. Fan theories have already begun to circulate about who that might connect to, although nothing concrete has been confirmed.
This isn’t the first time production on ‘The Batman Part II’ has generated buzz through unofficial channels. Earlier set photos from Liverpool showcased a damaged Gotham City Police Department cruiser and reintroduced Pattinson’s “Drifter” disguise, the low-profile identity Bruce previously used in ‘The Batman’ to navigate the city while gathering intel.
The sequel brings back much of the original film’s core cast, including Jeffrey Wright as Jim Gordon, Colin Farrell as Oswald Cobblepot, and Jayme Lawson as Mayor Bella Reál, alongside new additions like Sebastian Stan and Scarlett Johansson in roles that have yet to be officially detailed. Reeves has maintained the grounded, practical filmmaking approach that characterized the first installment, something these leaked clips seem to reinforce with their raw, on-location feel.
‘The Batman Part II’ is currently set to hit theaters on February 18, 2028, continuing the story first introduced in 2022’s ‘The Batman’ and expanded through the spinoff series ‘The Penguin.’ Until then, fans will likely continue to sift through every stray video and photo that emerges from Gotham’s snowy set for clues about what’s truly on the horizon.
