Nintendo has started rolling out updates for several of its big games to get them ready for the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2. Games like Xenoblade Chronicles 3, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Tears of the Kingdom, and Link’s Awakening have all received updates focused on improving how they run on the new console.

The updates include things like better visuals, faster performance, and even a few new features. For example, Link’s Awakening now supports HDR if you have a compatible TV.

Tears of the Kingdom got support for more amiibo and adds the Portuguese (Brazil) language option for menus, though the voice acting still uses other languages.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 didn’t get a detailed changelog, but Nintendo says there were several gameplay adjustments.

These updates are free and are meant to help players get a better experience on the new hardware. According to Nintendo, the Switch 2 editions of Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom will launch on June 5. You can check out more details regarding the updates on the official Nintendo site.
