Prime Video Launches Five-Service Streaming Bundle for One Price
Streaming fatigue has become a significant concern for viewers in recent years, as they manage an ever-expanding list of subscriptions to enjoy their favorite shows and movies. In response, platforms have started to embrace bundling, aiming to alleviate some of that subscription overload by combining services into one package.
Prime Video has emerged as a major player in this arena, operating more like a marketplace than a standalone streaming service. Subscribers can add various platforms through Prime Video Channels. Until now, most bundled offerings were limited to just two services, with only a few extending to three.
That approach has now evolved significantly. Prime Video has officially introduced its first-ever five-service streaming bundle in the United States, merging AMC+, BritBox, MGM+, PBS Masterpiece, and STARZ into a single package priced at $29.99 per month. This represents a nearly 39 percent savings compared to subscribing to each service separately.
Ryan Pirozzi, head of Prime Video Channels in the U.S., described the launch as a significant milestone for the platform’s subscription offerings, stating that this bundle provides customers with “the premium entertainment they love, all in one place.” This new offering marks a substantial upgrade from Prime Video’s previous two-service combinations like STARZ-BritBox or AMC+-MGM+, which were priced much lower than this new, more comprehensive package.
Each of the five services contributes its unique library to the bundle. STARZ adds titles from the ‘Outlander’ and ‘Power’ franchises, along with films like ‘The Housemaid’ and ‘Michael.’ AMC+ provides access to ‘The Walking Dead’ franchise and Anne Rice’s Immortal Universe, in addition to classics like ‘Mad Men’ and ‘Doctor Who.’
BritBox and PBS Masterpiece enhance the offering with a strong emphasis on British programming, featuring titles such as ‘Downton Abbey,’ ‘Line of Duty,’ ‘Endeavour,’ and ‘Grantchester.’ Meanwhile, MGM+ contributes originals like ‘From’ and ‘The Westies,’ along with a rich catalog of classic films. Both STARZ Networks president Alison Hoffman and MGM+ global head Michael Wright highlighted the curated nature of the bundle, positioning it as a destination for viewers who prioritize premium scripted storytelling over reality or unscripted content.
This launch reflects a broader trend within the streaming industry, where services like YouTube TV have also focused on slicing and packaging content into various price points to cater to consumer preferences. For Prime Video, this bundle builds on its already significant role as a subscription hub, with major platforms like HBO Max and Paramount Plus frequently offered through Prime as a key driver of new subscribers.
Whether this larger five-service format will become the standard for Prime Video’s bundling strategy remains uncertain. However, the launch indicates a genuine ambition to move beyond the two-service pairings that have characterized the platform’s approach thus far. If larger services eventually join similar packages, this could signal the beginning of a substantial shift in how audiences subscribe to streaming content.
