Few actors are as synonymous with a specific hair color as Sophie Turner. For years, Sansa Stark’s vibrant red hair defined her in the public eye, and fans have closely monitored every change in her appearance since. Turner’s latest hair color marks an exciting new chapter in that narrative.

While Turner is naturally blonde, the red hue she sported on ‘Game of Thrones’ became her trademark. She has dyed her hair for most of her life, starting at the age of 13 when she was cast as Sansa. This history means that even minor alterations to her look tend to spark conversations among fans.

On Tuesday, Turner made a striking appearance at Louis Vuitton’s Spring/Summer 2027 show in Paris during Paris Fashion Week, and her new hair color was hard to miss. She arrived with long brown hair, styled in polished waves with a side part, departing from the auburn shade many fans still associate with her. Photos shared by fan accounts that night quickly began circulating on X.

Her outfit also competed for attention. Turner donned an oversized caramel leather jacket with voluminous sleeves, layered with a cream scarf-style collar featuring fringed ends over a white top. Electric blue trousers completed her ensemble, with the cobalt shade echoed in the side panels of the jacket.

The result was a vibrant three-tone color-block moment, with caramel on the sleeves, white in the center, and blue dominating the lower half. A compact dark burgundy-brown handbag with chain hardware added another deep accent. The warm brunette waves complemented the outfit, ensuring the jacket’s broad sections remained fully visible.

Some observers were almost taken aback by her transformation. One fashion blogger remarked that Turner looked nearly unrecognizable with her dark hair, although she noted that the electric blue was a particularly flattering shade on the actress.

This hair color change is not arbitrary. Turner is transitioning to brunette for her upcoming role as Lara Croft in a new ‘Tomb Raider’ series. Earlier this year, she appeared as a brunette styled in a Lara Croft-inspired outfit at the Newport Beach Festival, where she accepted the Artist of Distinction Award in a custom Louis Vuitton leather skirt set during a break from filming.

Turner has openly discussed her evolving relationship with hair color. In an August interview with The Sydney Morning Herald, she mentioned that she no longer identifies with any particular shade after years of dyeing. She noted that blonde tends to elicit the most positive reactions, while red garners fewer responses but more extreme ones when it does.

Brunette, she explained, offers a sort of camouflage, and she has been enjoying the reduced recognition. This week’s high-profile appearance, however, was a fun contrast, as her hair may have been understated, but her outfit certainly was not.

As a Louis Vuitton ambassador, Turner is a familiar face at the brand’s shows. She first attended one in 2017, wearing white thigh-high boots with a leather mini, and has returned regularly since. Her fashion evolution has been clear, transitioning from edgy leather in her early appearances to sculptural black pieces and now bold colors.

This season’s front row was star-studded, featuring Emma Stone, Saoirse Ronan, Ana de Armas, Chloë Grace Moretz, Rhea Seehorn, and Wunmi Mosaku among the guests. Even in such a crowd, Turner’s mix of caramel, white, and cobalt stood out, showcasing how far her fashion identity has evolved from the demure Sansa of her early red-carpet days.

As Paris Fashion Week comes to a close, this show marks a significant moment for Turner, giving her new brunette era a high-profile debut on one of fashion’s grandest stages.
