‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ Continues Historic Run With New Promotional Poster
Sony and Marvel’s latest web-slinging adventure has spent the past three weeks rewriting box office records at an unprecedented pace. What began as a record-shattering opening weekend has transformed into one of the most successful theatrical runs of the year, with ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ continuing to fill theaters well beyond its debut.
This momentum shows no signs of slowing as the film approaches its fourth weekend of release. It has already surpassed the $2 billion mark globally, becoming the second-fastest film to reach this milestone, achieving it in just 17 days, compared to the 11 days it took ‘Avengers: Endgame’ to do so.
As the film maintains its historic run in theaters, a striking new promotional poster has emerged, featuring Tom Holland’s Peter Parker smiling against a torn red-and-white backdrop, with the film’s title prominently displayed alongside the phrase “In Cinemas Now,” celebrating its ongoing box office success nearly a month post-release.

The film’s dominance has been remarkable by any standard. It opened to $355 million domestically from 4,487 North American theaters, marking the second-largest debut in domestic box office history, just behind ‘Avengers: Endgame’s’ $357 million, not adjusted for inflation. Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige called the reception “truly phenomenal,” expressing gratitude to audiences who have come out to see the film “the way it was meant to be seen.”
Following its opening weekend, ‘Brand New Day’ continued to achieve numbers that few films manage even in their debut. Its second weekend brought in another $145 million domestically, one of the largest second-weekend hauls in box office history, followed by a still-massive $70 million in its third weekend, maintaining its position at the top of the North American box office.
As of the latest count, ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ has grossed $786.5 million domestically, the fourth-highest domestic total ever recorded, along with $1.238 billion internationally, bringing its current worldwide total to over $2 billion. This achievement places the film among an exclusive group, becoming just the eighth movie in history to cross the $2 billion global threshold.
The film has also shared the spotlight with Christopher Nolan’s ‘The Odyssey,’ another 2026 blockbuster that has been performing remarkably well during the same period. Industry analysts suggest that this pairing has contributed to an unusually strong late-summer box office season, with Rentrak’s head of marketplace trends noting that ‘The Odyssey’ and ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ are generating genuine “blockbuster momentum” as summer comes to a close.

Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, the film picks up four years after the events of ‘No Way Home,’ following Peter Parker as he navigates life alone after voluntarily erasing himself from the memories of everyone he loves. Fully dedicated to protecting a New York that no longer recognizes him, Peter faces significant changes while a mysterious new wave of crimes introduces one of the most formidable threats he has ever encountered.
With the film continuing to dominate the box office as it heads into its fourth weekend, industry experts are speculating whether 2026 could become only the second post-pandemic year to surpass $10 billion in annual grosses. ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ shows every indication of remaining a staple in theaters for weeks to come. Given how rare it is for a film to sustain this level of success nearly a month after its release, the new poster’s triumphant presentation feels well-deserved.
