‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ Post-Credits Scene Leak Points to Major Developments
Marvel has established a tradition around its post-credits scenes, making them some of the most eagerly awaited moments of any release. With ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ set to premiere in just a few days, this tradition is once again fueling fan speculation.
However, this time, the mystery may already be unraveling. Grainy footage claiming to showcase the film’s post-credits scene has surfaced online, aligning with rumors that have been circulating for weeks.
According to initial leaks, the scene focuses on Ned Leeds and his Spidey Tracker device, first introduced in ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ to monitor Peter Parker as he travels between universes. Multiple sources have echoed a similar narrative, describing a moment where Ned checks the tracker and realizes that Spider-Man is no longer on Earth.
This detail gains significance given the context. ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ is said to feature only one post-credits scene, a departure from the usual two. According to a reliable leaker, this scene is intended to set up ‘Avengers: Doomsday’. Historically, every MCU Spider-Man film has included two stingers, making this reported change particularly noteworthy.
The exact whereabouts of Spider-Man remain unclear, and the leaks themselves are not entirely consistent. The Cosmic Circus’ Alex Perez has provided further insight, suggesting that the scene depicts Peter Parker so far from Earth that he might be in an entirely different universe, although Perez clarifies that he is not aboard the Fantastic Four’s ship.
This distinction is crucial as it shifts the theory away from ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ towards something larger in the future. Perez has indicated that the scene may actually be setting up Peter’s involvement in ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’, rather than the more immediate Doomsday storyline, with Tom Holland reportedly not expected to appear in the latter film.
Fans have also begun to connect their own theories, speculating about Battleworld and the long-rumored Incursion storyline, which is expected to play a significant role in ‘Secret Wars’. Some have even suggested that Peter could join forces with Deadpool, Wolverine, and a version of Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man as part of a resistance storyline, although none of this has been confirmed.
It’s important to note that leaks like this often escalate once initial details are released, with new “confirmations” appearing faster than they can be validated. Whether the space-themed stinger is entirely accurate or partially true, Marvel and Sony have a history of keeping their biggest surprises under wraps until the last moment, even when smaller details leak ahead of time.
As of now, none of this has been officially confirmed by Marvel Studios or Sony Pictures, and the studios have not commented on the leaked footage circulating online. ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ is set to hit theaters on July 31, leaving fans with little time to avoid spoilers if they wish to experience the ending without prior knowledge.
