The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are coming to virtual reality with a new game called Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Empire City. This game will be available on Meta Quest 3 and SteamVR sometime next year. Fans of the turtles can look forward to stepping right into their world, seeing everything up close in VR.

The game is being developed by Cortopia Studios, the same team behind Gorn 2, a popular VR gladiator game. Empire City will follow Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello, and Michelangelo as they fight crime in the streets of New York City, which is still filled with the Foot Clan after Shredder’s defeat.

Players will get to experience action-packed combat and explore the city’s rooftops using parkour moves.

You can expect to fight against some of the turtles’ well-known enemies, with battles focusing on strikes and blocks that use each turtle’s unique weapon. The game is designed for solo play or with up to three friends, making it a fun experience whether you’re going it alone or teaming up.

One exciting part of the game is that Tom Waltz, the author of The Last Ronin, is working as a narrative consultant, which means the story should be strong and true to the turtles’ world.

Right now, there’s not a lot of information available about the game. The teaser trailer gives a glimpse, and a few screenshots are already up on Steam. More details will come as the release date in 2026 gets closer.

The turtles have been busy lately. After the success of Shredder’s Revenge in 2022 and the 2023 movie Mutant Mayhem, there were other games like Mutants Unleashed and Splintered Fate in the past year. Recently, Tactical Takedown took the series into turn-based strategy.
