The cast of ‘The Boys’ recently came together to promote the show’s final season and participated in an interview with Rotten Tomatoes, reflecting on some of the most shocking and disturbing moments throughout the series.

While the conversation started off light-hearted, it quickly shifted to a discussion about the extreme nature of the show over the years. Each actor shared their personal picks for the most “messed up” moments they had encountered or filmed.

Jessie T. Usher, who portrays A-Train, was quick to mention the infamous “Herogasm” episode.

He stated, “Herogasm. That’s gotta be the most messed up. Herogasm is the most messed-up thing I’ve seen in life, period. I think after hour 12, the visual of coming back into Herogasm after going to lunch is bananas, you know what I mean? Now everybody is bloated, it’s gassy in there. It’s bad. That had to have been the worst.”

His remarks set the tone for the rest of the cast, who also voiced their strong opinions about the show’s most extreme scenes.

Colby Minifie, who plays Ashley, highlighted the animal-related scenes, noting how difficult some of those moments were to witness, particularly those involving a whale and a dolphin.

She remarked, “A lot of the animal deaths are pretty horrible. Like the whale. Lucy the Whale. We had the dolphin.”

Erin Moriarty concurred, adding, “When the dolphin crashed out of the truck. That was really disturbing.”

Karl Urban, who plays Butcher, also referenced the whale sequence, describing the intense atmosphere on set and how realistic it felt during filming.

He explained, “Inside the whale was absolutely gross. They constructed this innards of the whale that was still barely alive and so the heart was still beating as well and we’re all covered in blood and wasps…”

Jack Quaid elaborated on the experience, sharing how strange and uncomfortable the filming environment became.

He noted, “The fake blood was all cornstarch and sugar so it was sweet and it was like that season in Toronto where all like the wasps came out. So I’m just, we’re both in the whale, sweating, covered in this sticky stuff that wasps love. But now that the show was ending, like in the final season, anytime I was in a moment that I was like ‘Oh this is going to be a thing. This is really messed up.’ I have this new take on it now where… I really need to take this in because it’s the last time, this is the craziest situation ever.”

He also expressed that the experience made him somewhat emotional, realizing the show was nearing its conclusion and he might never film something as wild again.

Later in the interview, the discussion turned to another notorious moment from Season 4. Karen Fukuhara reacted to the sauna scene and its shocking imagery.

She remarked, “Oh my goodness the human centipede of it all. I was like ‘You know what? I think I’m good though.’ I don’t know if I would ever want to see that again.”
