‘The Boys’ Season 5 Debuts at No. 2 on Nielsen Streaming Charts
Prime Video’s popular superhero series ‘The Boys’ is off to a strong start with its final season.
According to Nielsen, the show debuted at No. 2 on the streaming charts for the week of April 6, following the release of the first two episodes of Season 5. The series amassed an impressive 899 million viewing minutes, indicating that fans eagerly returned for this climactic chapter.

A significant portion of that viewership stemmed from the new episodes, which accounted for 64% of the total watch time during the week. Nielsen also noted that the majority of viewers were from the 18-49 age demographic, which remains the show’s strongest audience. The only title surpassing it on the charts was ‘The Pitt’, which garnered over 1.1 billion viewing minutes in the same timeframe.

Season 5 picks up after the intense finale of Season 4, where several members of ‘The Boys’ were captured while Homelander tightened his control over the nation.
As the new season unfolds, the narrative centers on the quest for V-1, a potent serum that could make Homelander nearly unbeatable. Meanwhile, characters like Starlight and Butcher are racing against time to stop him before chaos ensues.
The final season maintains the show’s signature blend of brutal action, shocking twists, and political commentary, keeping fans engaged and buzzing online each week. Although the main series is concluding, the franchise is far from finished, with spin-offs in the works, including ‘Vought Rising’, which will see the return of Soldier Boy and Stormfront for another story set within the expanding universe.
