In Lighthouse Cove, it’s well-known that when it comes to renovating and restoring homes, the best man for the job is not a man. Instead, it is a woman, and her name is Shannon Hughes. Hughes is a skilled renovator and an expert on older homes, particularly those of the Victorian Era.

When a friend of Shannon’s father is found dead, the police rule it accidental, but Shannon is convinced otherwise. She turns to investigative journalist Mac Sullivan, whose home she made a bid on for renovation, for help in investigating on her own.

Concrete Evidence

Shannon’s next big project is restoring the old Craddock house for her friend and potential love interest, Mac Sullivan. Things are moving right along until Shannon discovers a human skeleton in the broken dumbwaiter of the home.

When the autopsy reveals that the deceased is Lily Brogans, a friend of Shannon’s in high school until she disappears, Shannon eagerly begins her investigation to find out what happened and get justice for Lily.

Deadly Deed

In the third installment, Shannon is preparing to restore an old mansion donated to Sunny Site Housing as a social housing project. Unlike most of her other projects, Shannon is doing this one for charity.

However, before Shannon can begin the project, she finds a dead body on the property. Once again, she uses her sleuthing skills and teams up with Chief Jensen and Mac to find out who was murdered and who did it.
