‘WandaVision’ Account Reveals Hidden Code and Questions ‘VisionQuest’ Fans
Marvel has a knack for turning its marketing into an intriguing puzzle, and the final chapter of the ‘WandaVision’ trilogy is no different. With the central question revolving around whether a rebuilt android remains the same individual, it’s fitting that the promotion would explore themes of identity. The latest teaser has fans reaching for their decoder rings.
The concept at the core of the new series harks back to the ‘WandaVision’ finale. The Vision created by Wanda’s magic and White Vision, constructed from the remnants of the original who perished in ‘Infinity War,’ paused their confrontation to discuss the Ship of Theseus. If every part of a ship is replaced, is it still the same ship? And if the discarded pieces are reconstructed, which one is authentic?
The debate concluded with Wanda’s Vision restoring White Vision’s memories. White Vision affirmed that he is Vision and departed from Westview. His response to the riddle was that both ships are indeed the true ship, although this answer complicates when memories themselves are the replaced components.
Now, the official ‘WandaVision’ social account has reignited that very question in a literal sense. New posts showcase a hidden code embedded within the images, accompanied by the pointed caption, “Is it still the same ship?” One image features the line “You see an Avenger because I am Vision” against a dark backdrop, while another depicts the classic red Vision illuminated in crimson light.

A glitchy, flickering strip of digital characters runs along the bottom of the images. This is the code fans are now attempting to decipher, and Marvel has not clarified its meaning. Whether it hints at a future episode, a concealed message, or simply an Easter egg, the posts are achieving their intended purpose.
The teaser arrives just days into the run of ‘VisionQuest,’ which stars Paul Bettany as White Vision across 8 episodes from showrunner Terry Matalas. The second episode is even titled “Theseus,” a direct reference to the philosophical puzzle. James Spader returns as Ultron, and Ruaridh Mollica portrays Tommy Maximoff, who has his own complex relationship with memory and identity.
The series unexpectedly moved up its debut to October 13, instead of the initially announced October 14. Some fans speculate that the date was chosen to align with a significant event in the trilogy, though Marvel has never confirmed this. The first two episodes are now available, continuing the story right where ‘WandaVision’ concluded.

This isn’t the first instance of code playing a role in the marketing and the show itself. When the first trailer was released, fans deciphered text on Vision’s three-piece costume, which included lines of code and hints at his emotional struggles. His memories trace back to J.A.R.V.I.S., his body is a synthetic creation made by others, and his mind is primarily code.
Following the premiere, an observant fan also discovered a reference to Wanda in the code that flashes across the screen during a scene about Vision’s programming. Other viewers pointed out an inscription reading WANDA.CREATE hidden in that same sequence, suggesting that Vision still carries Wanda with him, down to his very code.
The remaining episodes will be released in pairs, with episodes 3 and 4 on October 20 and episodes 5 and 6 on October 27. The seventh episode is set to air on November 3, and the finale, titled “Forever,” will arrive on November 10. The last two installments are reportedly the longest in MCU television, running 62 and 68 minutes.
Viewers will be on the lookout for any moments that connect to the hidden code. Marvel has a rich history of rewarding fans who pay close attention, and posts like this often ignite intense online detective work. Until someone cracks it or Marvel reveals the answer, the question will linger over the series.
There is also a broader context to consider. Bettany is not listed among the official cast of ‘Avengers: Doomsday,’ and Vision’s involvement remains unconfirmed. If the code serves as a clue, it could indicate what lies ahead for the character.

The posts feel less like random teasers and more like a thesis statement. ‘VisionQuest’ is probing whether this Vision is the genuine one, and whether being the real one matters if he cannot embody the original’s heroism. This tension is what makes the trilogy’s conclusion so captivating.
Fans are divided on whether White Vision is still the same Vision after regaining his memories. Some argue that both versions are the authentic Vision, while others contend that memories alone cannot recreate the original’s humanity. Regardless, this discourse is precisely what Marvel aims for.
