Camila Mendes Stuns in All-Black Look While Promoting ‘Masters of the Universe’
Camila Mendes was recently spotted in Midtown NYC, showcasing a striking all-black outfit that blends street style with a hint of futuristic flair.
Her ensemble features a fitted black zip-up top that acts as a lightweight jacket. With a structured collar and a snug fit, it creates a sleek silhouette.
The standout sleeves are crafted from sheer mesh material, extending slightly over her hands, which adds a delicate contrast to the heavier fabric of the top. Small metallic or light-colored studs embellish the zipper line, collar, and hem, providing a subtle yet eye-catching shine.
This combination of a structured outer layer with a revealing inner piece results in a layered aesthetic that feels modern and bold without being overly complicated.
She pairs the top with high-waisted black trousers that are tailored and cropped just above the ankle. This choice keeps the outfit grounded, allowing the upper half to shine.
Her footwear complements the outfit perfectly, featuring black open-toe heeled mules that maintain the cohesive color scheme without drawing attention away from the overall look. Chunky, dark rectangular sunglasses enhance the street-style vibe, particularly when paired with the structured top.
To complete her look, Mendes opts for minimal jewelry. A thin chain necklace with a round metallic pendant adds a subtle detail without detracting from the outfit’s overall shape and texture.
Currently, Mendes is promoting Masters of the Universe (internationally titled He-Man and the Masters of the Universe), a fantasy action film directed by Travis Knight. This movie, based on the iconic Mattel franchise, follows Prince Adam as he returns to Eternia and embraces his destiny as He-Man while battling Skeletor. The film features Nicholas Galitzine as Prince Adam, alongside a star-studded cast including Jared Leto, Alison Brie, James Purefoy, Kristen Wiig, Morena Baccarin, and Idris Elba.

The film underwent a lengthy development process, transitioning between studios and creative teams before finally landing at Amazon MGM Studios. Principal photography took place primarily in London from early to mid-2025. The film premiered at the TCL Chinese Theatre on May 18 and is scheduled for a theatrical release on June 5. Early reviews have praised it as a blend of visual spectacle and classic fantasy storytelling.
Mendes’ recent press appearances continue to attract attention, not only for the film but also for her evolving promotional style, which embraces sleek, modern fashion choices like this all-black ensemble.
