‘Avengers: Doomsday’ Offers a Humorous Look Inside the New Avengers Tower
Marvel’s promotional strategy for ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ has focused on grandiosity. The film’s four teasers have collectively garnered over 1 billion views, a cast-reveal livestream attracted 275 million views, and the July trailer became the second-largest launch in history. Amid this backdrop of cosmic drama, the studio has opted for a more lighthearted approach.
The film unites the Avengers, the Fantastic Four, and the X-Men against Doctor Doom, with the marketing campaign heavily featuring epic visuals like colliding worlds and burning buildings. This week, however, a more whimsical angle emerged.
The latest promo for ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ takes viewers inside the New Avengers Tower, but rather than focusing on the heroes, it follows a receptionist through her workday in a short video styled as an office interview, complete with on-screen text that reads “Office Interview, Avengers Tower Edition.” Another version adopts the popular “Get Ready With Me” format, featuring the text “GRWM for work: Avengers Tower Edition.”
This clip is part of a brand partnership with Secret Clinical deodorant. The receptionist juggles calls, packages, and workplace chaos, humorously implying that the Hulk has simply quit his job. The punchline cleverly ties back to the product when she describes it as her secret weapon.
This approach effectively builds a relatable world. The Tower transforms from a mere skyline feature into a bustling workplace filled with phones, packages, and a very patient front desk, offering fans a glimpse into the daily life of the MCU’s New York.

The location holds significant narrative weight. In ‘Thunderbolts’, Valentina Allegra de Fontaine acquired Avengers Tower to establish her base of operations. When this team was revealed as ‘The New Avengers’, the tower became the headquarters for a lineup that includes Yelena Belova, Bucky Barnes, Red Guardian, Ghost, Taskmaster, John Walker, and Sentry, many of whom will return in ‘Doomsday’.
This team isn’t alone. The film features two groups of Avengers, and merchandise hints that Sam Wilson’s team may assemble elsewhere, potentially in the iconic Avengers Mansion from the comics. This serves as a reminder that Marvel is managing multiple bases as the universe expands.
The promo also coincides with a real product. LEGO’s ‘Avengers: Doomsday New Avengers Tower’ (set 76352) is a 954-piece, four-level build that stands 13.5 inches tall, complete with a helipad, lab, control room, reception area, and a functioning elevator. It was released on October 4 for $109.99.
The set includes minifigures of Yelena, Red Guardian, Bucky Barnes, Sentry, Human Torch, and a new Doctor Doom, along with a hidden detention cell. It also features several Easter eggs, such as a trash can hiding Black Panther’s claws, Stormbreaker, and Mjolnir, while the foyer showcases an ad for Avengers breakfast cereal. One reviewer noted that the trailers suggest the tower plays a significant role in the film.

Marvel has treated this rollout as an event in itself. The first teaser was exclusively shown in theaters before being released online five days later, and the four teasers have generated social engagement 188% higher than a typical Marvel release. They also set records for trailer views on Instagram, with 505 million, and TikTok, with 103 million.
Domestic pre-sales have reportedly surpassed $50 million, with the film set to debut on December 18. ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’ is scheduled to follow on December 17, 2027. This workplace comedy promo presents a stark contrast to the apocalyptic visuals, yet it broadens the audience, especially on platforms where the campaign is already achieving record-breaking success.
This strategy also highlights a studio willing to experiment with formats that resonate with fans. A “Get Ready With Me” video from inside the Avengers’ headquarters would have seemed absurd a few years ago, but now it’s part of the buildup to a film centered on the multiverse’s end.
