Netflix Confirms ‘Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery’ December Premiere, Reveals Detailed Cast Information in New Teaser

Rian Johnson had a major hit with the 2019 movie Knives Out, which soon became a franchise. Starring Daniel Craig as detective Benoit Blanc, the first movie receved a sequel – Glass Onion – in 2022 and this year, another sequel is coming.

Titled Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery, the movie will once again feature an ensemble cast led by Craig, who is back to reprise one of the most famous roles of his career.

During the recent TUDUM event, Netflix finally revealed the official release date for the movie – which is December 12, 2025 – as well as more information about the movie’s cast and characters.

After dropping a very interesting teaser recently, Netflix has revealed even more information about the upcoming crime film starring Daniel Craig. As we’ve said, the movie is set to premiere on December 12, 2025, but that’s not all we found out, as per the teaser:

We’ve known that the cast would include a series of big names, and now, their roles have been revealed:

  • Daniel Craig as Benoit Blanc, a private detective/investigator
  • Josh O’Connor as Rev. Jud Duplenticy, a priest
  • Glenn Close as Martha Delacroix
  • Josh Brolin as Msgr. Jefferson Wicks, a priest
  • Mila Kunis as Geraldine Scott, a police chief
  • Jeremy Renner as Dr. Nat Sharp
  • Kerry Washington as Vera Draven
  • Andrew Scott as Lee Ross
  • Cailee Spaeny as Simone Vivane
  • Daryl McCormack as Cy Draven
  • Thomas Haden Church as Samson Holt
