New ‘Avengers: Endgame Encore’ Posters Highlight 4DX and Infinity Vision for September Release
Marvel Studios has maintained an impressive promotional campaign throughout the summer, and the lead-up to its upcoming rerelease has become a series of exciting reveals. Instead of unveiling everything at once, the studio has gradually shared new details about the film’s formats, bonus footage, and now, its stunning poster artwork, keeping fans eagerly anticipating the next announcement.
This promotional effort is gearing up for the film’s return to theaters on September 25, with the latest wave of materials focusing on the various formats that audiences can experience. New posters for ‘Avengers: Endgame Encore‘ have been unveiled, each designed to showcase a specific premium theatrical format that Marvel wants viewers to enjoy.

One of the new posters promotes the 4DX format, which is known for its immersive experience that includes physical effects like seat movement, wind, and synchronized lighting with the action on screen. This poster features the assembled Avengers cast in a striking black-and-white design, highlighted by a burst of vibrant color. Another poster showcases Infinity Vision, Marvel’s newly established premium certification standard, focusing on a close-up of Tony Stark’s face alongside the Infinity Gauntlet, depicted in a dramatic blue-and-orange color scheme reminiscent of the film’s epic battle.

Both posters feature the tagline “Reassemble the Team,” which reinforces the nostalgic theme that Marvel has emphasized throughout this rerelease campaign. This messaging aligns with the studio’s strategy to position ‘Endgame Encore’ as more than just a simple theatrical revival, but as a significant event connected to the upcoming major release.
Infinity Vision, unlike traditional premium large-format technologies such as IMAX or 4DX, serves as a certification standard. It ensures that participating theaters meet specific benchmarks for screen size, sound quality, and projection standards, allowing Disney to provide a consistent premium experience across a broader network of theaters nationwide.

The introduction of this new format is strategically timed. With ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ set to release on December 18 alongside Denis Villeneuve’s ‘Dune: Part Three,’ and IMAX already committed to Villeneuve’s film for that release window, Marvel’s upcoming tentpole would traditionally lack access to large-format screens. By introducing Infinity Vision now, linked to ‘Endgame Encore,’ Disney can familiarize audiences with the new premium label ahead of ‘Doomsday’s’ actual launch.
The rerelease will feature the 2019 blockbuster with a custom introduction, additional footage related to ‘Avengers: Doomsday,’ and a special end tag, extending the total runtime beyond the original theatrical version. This new content will be exclusive to IMAX and Infinity Vision-certified screens, providing premium format ticket holders with a compelling reason to experience the beloved film on the big screen once more.
With tickets already available for purchase and a growing array of collectibles, posters, and format-specific marketing being rolled out ahead of the September date, Marvel seems to be treating ‘Endgame Encore’ as a genuine test run for its marketing strategy for ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ once December arrives. Given the stakes involved after a mixed box office performance, this rerelease appears to be a strategic move to build format recognition and audience goodwill rather than merely relying on nostalgia.
