Actor Robert De Niro has once again made headlines after taking a jab at Donald Trump during a surprise appearance on ‘The Late Show with Stephen Colbert’.

De Niro joined guests Aubrey Plaza and Martha Stewart on Wednesday night’s episode. The show featured a fun format where guests switched roles with host Stephen Colbert, asking him questions while he sat in the guest chair.

When it was De Niro’s turn, the Oscar-winning actor quickly steered the conversation towards politics. He began with a simple question for Colbert.

“What number were you thinking of?” Colbert explained that there was a running joke associated with the question, noting that some celebrities had guessed correctly in the past, including Meryl Streep and Ethan Hawke.

Colbert revealed that the number he had in mind was three, which opened the door for De Niro to deliver his joke aimed at Trump.

“Because I thought it would have been two million point five, or two and a half million,” De Niro responded. “That’s the number of Epstein files Trump still hasn’t released.”

The audience responded with loud cheers and applause, while Colbert laughed from the couch.

The moment quickly went viral, sparking strong reactions from viewers. Some praised De Niro for his candidness about Trump, while others criticized him for mixing politics with comedy.

De Niro has been one of Trump’s most vocal celebrity critics for years, frequently attacking the president in interviews, speeches, and television appearances. Colbert has also consistently mocked Trump on his late-night show.

Recently, De Niro participated in the “No Kings 3 Kick-Off Call,” an online event focused on protests against Trump’s administration. During the discussion, he expressed his concerns about voting rights and government power.

De Niro stated that he fears the government is attempting to interfere with elections and complicate voting for Americans.

“I’ve played plenty of tough, scary guys in the movies — but you know what really scares the hell out of me? What the government, this government, our government, is trying to do is take away our right to vote,” he said during the call.

He further accused Trump’s administration of trying to alter election systems and intimidate voters.

“They’re trying every trick in the book, and the Constitution be damned,” De Niro added. He also raised concerns about voter registration rules, voting by mail, and the potential use of federal forces during election periods.

De Niro went on to label some of the administration’s actions as “monstrous” and urged viewers to pay attention to what he believes is happening in the country.

Trump has yet to publicly respond to De Niro’s latest comments from Colbert’s show. However, the actor’s criticism of the president is nothing new, as the two have been publicly clashing for years through speeches, interviews, and media appearances.

This latest exchange once again highlights that De Niro is unafraid to voice his opinions about Trump, even during a comedic segment on late-night television.
