Jon Bernthal recently expressed his admiration for his longtime friend Tom Holland, sharing his belief that the ‘Spider-Man’ star will one day excel as a father.

In a recent conversation, Bernthal reflected on their friendship and Holland’s impressive journey in the industry. The two first collaborated on the 2015 film ‘Pilgrimage’, long before either made their mark in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Bernthal noted that he has known Holland since the actor was a teenager, always recognizing his unique qualities. He stated, “I’ve known him since I was 17. At that age, I’ve never seen anyone with that kind of determination, that kind of trust, that kind of belief, while also being deeply kind and good.”

He further praised Holland for his character outside of acting, saying, “I love seeing what’s become his. He’s a real movie star. I love the other half of him. I love that he’s in love. I’m so glad he found that.”

Bernthal emphasized that Holland prioritizes being a good person over fame, adding, “I know what’s important to him, at the end of the day, is being a good man. He’s going to be a great father.”

While there is no news of Holland expecting a child, Bernthal’s heartfelt comments have garnered attention online for their personal and supportive nature.

He also recounted how they supported each other during auditions for their Marvel roles years ago while filming in Ireland, practicing scenes together during downtime.

He mentioned, “He read with me for Punisher, and I read with him for Spider-Man. And we both got cast.”

That pivotal moment significantly impacted both their careers, with Holland becoming a leading figure in the Marvel franchise as Spider-Man, while Bernthal gained acclaim as Frank Castle, known as The Punisher.
