The New ‘Off Campus’ Season 2 Romance Featuring Allie and Dean Revealed

Prime Video’s ‘Off Campus’ is charging ahead with season 2, and fans are finally aware of which romance will take the spotlight next. On Thursday, the streaming service confirmed that Allie Hayes and Dean Di Laurentis will officially lead the new season.

Those who tuned into season 1 likely anticipated this development. The finale strongly suggested that Allie and Dean’s relationship would evolve into a major storyline, particularly for fans familiar with Elle Kennedy’s bestselling ‘Off-Campus’ book series. Their romance serves as the focus of the third novel, and the show is set to follow that trajectory.

Mika Abdalla and Stephen Kalyn are back as Allie and Dean, with production for season 2 already in progress. According to the creative team behind the series, their relationship will now become the heart of the narrative moving forward.

Co-showrunner Louisa Levy shared the news in a statement, promising that the new season will build upon what fans witnessed at the end of season 1. “We are so excited to continue Allie and Dean’s story as our primary romance of season two after kickstarting their romance in season one,” Levy stated.

Simultaneously, the show will not abandon the original couple that helped launch the series. Hannah Wells and Garrett Graham, portrayed by Ella Bright and Belmont Cameli, will continue to play significant roles in the storyline. Levy reassured fans that this beloved duo remains an integral part of the larger ensemble. “But if you fell in love with Hannah and Garrett, don’t worry — they will still be an integral part of our robust ensemble,” she added. “We’re looking forward to telling the next chapter of everyone’s story. There’s a lot for fans to look forward to!”

The success of ‘Off Campus’ has even surprised seasoned TV watchers. Prime Video renewed the series for season 2 before season 1 even premiered, clearly anticipating that the adaptation would resonate with audiences. However, the response turned out to be even greater than expected.

The series has become the third biggest original series debut in Prime Video history, reportedly surpassing ‘The Summer I Turned Pretty’ in viewership numbers. Much of the show’s popularity can be attributed to TikTok and BookTok, where clips, edits, and reactions quickly went viral after its release.

Based on Elle Kennedy’s bestselling novels, ‘Off Campus’ follows a group of college students at Briar University as their friendships, hookups, breakups, and relationships become increasingly tangled and emotional. Hockey players Garrett, Dean, Logan, and Tucker remain central to the storyline, alongside Hannah, Allie, and the rest of the group.

Season 1 primarily focused on Hannah and Garrett’s fake dating storyline that gradually evolved into a genuine romance. Season 2 now shifts its focus to Allie and Dean, whose chemistry began to develop throughout the first season.

The cast for season 2 includes returning stars Mika Abdalla, Stephen Kalyn, Ella Bright, Belmont Cameli, Antonio Cipriano, Jalen Thomas Brooks, India Fowler, and Philipa Soo in a recurring role.

‘Off Campus’ was created by Louisa Levy for Prime Video and is produced by Temple Hill. The romantic drama first premiered in May and quickly became one of the platform’s biggest young adult hits.

Now, with Allie and Dean officially stepping into the spotlight, season 2 appears poised to deliver even more romance, chaos, and drama back to Briar University.
