‘Vought Rising’ Teaser Reveals Jensen Ackles’ Soldier Boy in ‘The Boys’ Prequel
The first look at the new series ‘Vought Rising’ has been unveiled, providing fans with an exciting update on the universe of ‘The Boys’. This news comes from Prime Video, which released the initial trailer for the upcoming spin-off on Friday.
Set in the 1950s, the show serves as a prequel that explores the origins of Vought International, the company responsible for much of the turmoil in ‘The Boys’ world. It delves into how the darkness began long before the events of the main series.
Jensen Ackles reprises his role as Soldier Boy, and in the teaser, he is depicted attempting to embrace a more heroic persona. He declares, “I wanna fight for the flag. I wanna be a hero.” In this scene, he interacts with Private Angel, Bombsight, and Torpedo, indicating his desire to engage in early missions and investigations.
Aya Cash also makes an appearance as Clara Vought, known as Stormfront. She delivers a poignant message about the future, stating, “There is a brighter future. All we need to do is take it.”
The teaser hints at early experiments with Compound V and clandestine investigations within Vought International. The tone remains consistent with ‘The Boys’, featuring violence, dark humor, and themes of corporate control that shape the narrative.
‘Vought Rising’ is created under showrunner Paul Grellong and features a cast that includes Mason Dye, Will Hochman, KiKi Layne, Jorden Myrie, Nicolo Pasetti, Elizabeth Posey, Ricky Staffieri, and Brian J. Smith. The series is produced by Sony Pictures Television and Amazon MGM Studios, with executive producers including Eric Kripke and Seth Rogen.
