For nearly a century, Disney has produced animated shorts, feature films, and live-action movies. This means they have also given us thousands of characters with names from A to Z to love (and quite a few not to love). Here is a list of 62 Disney characters whose names begin with the letter S.
1. Sa’luk (Aladdin and the King of Thieves)
Sa’luk is a villain and is second-in-command of the Forty Thieves. He doesn’t have magical powers, but he is powerful.
2. Sabor (Tarzan)
Sabor is a savage female leopard. She is an antagonist because she killed Tarzan’s parents.
3. Sadness (Inside Out)
Sadness is one of Riley’s five Emotions. She feels useless among the other emotions because she wants to see Riley happy. She is blue in color.
4. Sally Carrera (Cars)
Sally is a blue 2002 Porsche 911 Carrera. She owns the Cozy Cone motel, and she is also a lawyer.
5. Sarabi (The Lion King)
Sarabi is Queen of the Pridelands. She is Mufasa’s wife and Simba’s mother.
6. Sarafina (The Lion King)
Sarafina is Nala’s mother and a close friend of Sarabi.
7. Aunt Sarah (Lady and the Tramp)
Aunt Sarah is Jim Dear’s aunt and the owner of Siamese cats Si and Am. She wanted Jim Dear and Darling to get rid of Lady.
8. Samson (Sleeping Beauty)
Samson is Prince Phillip’s loyal horse. He likes eating carrots and oats but dislikes danger and getting a bath.
9. Sarge (Cars)
Sarge is a green 1942 army jeep and WWII veteran. He owns and operates Sarge’s Surplus Hut in Radiator Springs.
10. Sarge (Toy Story)
In the Toy Story franchise, Sarge is the commander of Andy’s toy soldiers. He conducts various rescue missions and never leaves a man behind.
11. Scamp (Lady and the Tramp II: Scamp’s Adventure)
Scamp is Lady and Tramp’s puppy. He is hyperactive, loves to play, and isn’t a big fan of following rules.
12. Scar (The Lion King)
Scar would do anything to be king, including killing his brother Mufasa. He is one of the most notorious Disney villains of all time.
13. Scat Cat (The Aristocats)
Scat Cat was the leader of the Alley Cats and sang the movie’s most popular song, “Everybody Wants To Be A Cat.” His character was based on real-life jazz musicians Louis Armstrong and Scatman Crothers.
14. Scottie (101 Dalmatians)
Scottie is a hyperactive terrier from Hampstead who helps Danny get the Twilight Bark going to find Pongo and Perdita’s puppies.
15. Screenslaver (Incredibles 2)
Screenslaver is one of the antagonists in Incredibles 2, created by Evelyn Deavor to get rid of Supers. His goggles hypnotize people so Evelyn can convince them that Supers are bad.
16. Scrooge McDuck (Mickey’s Once Upon A Christmas / Mickey’s Twice Upon A Christmas)
Scrooge is Donald Duck’s uncle and the richest duck in the world. Dickens’ Ebenezer Scrooge inspired his character.
17. Scud (Toy Story)
Scud is Sid’s bull terrier dog. He likes to chew on and destroy toys. He is a significant hindrance to Buzz when he tries to escape Sid’s house.
18. Scuttle (The Little Mermaid)
Scuttle is one of Ariel’s animal friends. He is an unconventional seagull and claims to be an expert on human stuff.
19. Sebastian (The Little Mermaid)
Sebastian, a Jamaican red crab, works as King Triton’s trusted advisor. He often ends up chasing after Ariel when she goes on adventures.
20. Shang (Mulan)
Shang is appointed the leader of a group of soldiers tasked with defeating Shan Yu. He is Mulan’s love interest and eventually her husband.
21. Shan Yu (Mulan)
Shan Yu is a villain and leader of the Chinese Hun Army. He is powerful, arrogant, and intent on taking over China.
22. Shank (Ralph Breaks the Internet)
Shank is a character from an online racing game called Slaughter Race. She doesn’t like losing. However, despite her bad-girl persona, she is funny and wise.
23. Shanti (The Jungle Book)
Shanti is the girl with the charming eyes and angelic voice who lures Mowgli out of the jungle and into the Man Village. She is a hard worker, and the village’s children love her. She and Mowgli are very close.
24. Sheldon (Finding Nemo)
Sheldon is a seahorse with a water allergy and one of Nemo’s classmates. His father thought Sheldon was making fun of Nemo’s short fin, but it was another student. He was part of the group of students who saw the boat.
25. Shenzi (The Lion King)
Shenzi is the leader of the pack of hyenas that were banished from the Pride Lands and later formed an alliance with Scar. She and her pack set in motion the stampede that killed Mufasa.
26. Shere Khan (The Jungle Book)
Feared by all the jungle, Shere Khan is a Bengal tiger whose mere presence is frightening. He is afraid of fire and guns and despises humans, especially “man-cub” Mowgli.
27. Sheriff (Cars)
Sheriff is a 1949 black and white Mercury cruiser. He is the primary source of law enforcement in Radiator Springs. He likes to take naps behind the Radiator Springs billboard. Still, he has zero tolerance for anyone breaking traffic laws in his town and will take them to Traffic Court.
28. Sheriff of Nottingham (Robin Hood)
The not-so-honorable Sheriff of Nottingham is infamous for collecting taxes, especially from the poor, using any means necessary, including taking money from the poor box at church. He repeatedly tries and fails to capture Robin Hood.
29. Sisu (Raya and the Last Dragon)
Sisu is a beautiful water dragon who helps her siblings protect Kumandra. She was the only surviving dragon after the Druun attack. She is fun-loving and goofy but also brave. She helps Raya on her quest to save Kumandra from the Druun.
30. Shun Gon (The Aristocats)
Shun Gon is a Siamese cat and one of the Alley Cats. He plays the piano and drums.
31. Si (Lady and the Tramp)
Si is one of Aunt Sarah’s Siamese cats. She has a twin sister, Am. Si and Am are evil and frequently misbehave, stealing the baby’s milk and blaming it on Lady.
32. Sid (Toy Story)
Sid Phillips is Andy’s neighbor and has a reputation for terrorizing toys. He has several mutant toys he invented using parts of his and his sister’s old toys and mixing them all up. He plans to send Buzz Lightyear to space by taping him to a rocket and launching it.
33. Simba (The Lion King)
Simba is Mufasa and Sarabi’s son and next in line to rule the Pride Lands after his father. Since he is young when his father dies, he is tricked by Scar into believing he killed his father and left the Pride Lands. He returns as a young adult to defeat Scar and reclaim his birthright as king.
34. Sina (Moana)
Sina is Moana’s mother. She loves the island and her family. She understands that her daughter feels drawn to the ocean, but she’s also afraid of what could happen to her daughter if she ventures away from the place they know.
35. Sitka (Brother Bear)
Sitka is the brother and caretaker of two younger siblings, Denahi and Kenai. He died protecting his brothers from a bear attack. His spirit remained to help his brothers understand the value of animal and human life.
36. Sitron (Frozen)
Sitron is Prince Hans’ Fjord horse, and he carries him to Arendelle for the coronation. When Hans is sent back to the Southern Isles, it is unknown what happened to Sitron.
37. Skippy (Robin Hood)
Skippy may be just a young rabbit, but he is Robin Hood’s biggest fan. He likes playing with his sisters and Toby Turtle. He doesn’t like being embarrassed or made fun of, and he doesn’t like the Sheriff’s scams.
38. Skinner (Ratatouille)
Chef Skinner is an ill-tempered sous-chef turned head-chef. He is less concerned with making quality food and more concerned with making a profit.
39. Sleepy (Snow White)
Sleepy is one of the seven dwarfs. He is named Sleepy because he is less interested in what is happening around him and more interested in taking naps. Despite his constant drowsiness, he is a hard worker.
40. Slim (A Bug’s Life)
Slim is a walking stick bug that performs as a clown in the circus troupe. He is constantly used as a prop in the circus act rather than a character, making him upset. He is unable to fly, and Francis usually carries him.
Slinky Dog, or “Slink,” is one of Andy’s toys. He is a toy Daschund with a slinky as his middle. He is an excellent pal to all of the toys, but especially to Woody.
42. Smee (Peter Pan)
Mr. Smee is a bumbling pirate and Captain Hook’s first mate. Although he often gets on Hook’s nerves, he is loyal to him. He loves the pirate life and doesn’t like to get on Hook’s bad side.
43. Smitty (Dumbo)
Smitty is the ringleader of a group of kids who make fun of Dumbo’s large ears at the circus. He bullies Dumbo to the point that Mrs. Jumbo retaliates.
44. Smitty (Monsters Inc)
Smitty is a slug-like teenager who does maintenance work on the scare floor at Monsters Inc. along with his friend Needleman. He respects all the scarers but especially looks up to Sulley.
45. Smokey (Cars)
Smokey is the former pit crew chief for the Hudson Hornet (Doc Hudson). He owns and operates the “best dang garage in town,” Smokey’s Automotive Service.
46. Sneezy (Snow White)
Sneezy is one of the seven dwarfs and gets his name from his unpredictable, unmanageable sneezing fits. He suffers from hay fever. Sneezy likes dancing and yodeling, and he dislikes flowers, especially those that provoke his allergies.
47. Snow White (Snow White)
Snow White is a beautiful young princess. Much to her stepmother, The Evil Queen’s dismay, she is the most beautiful girl in all the land. Snow White runs away from home so her stepmother wouldn’t kill her and seeks refuge with the seven dwarfs. She loves animals and loves to sing.
48. Mr. Snoops (The Rescuers)
Mr. Snoops is Medusa’s bumbling business partner. He loves money almost as much as Medusa. He tries to be a bad guy but can’t say no to Medusa, gets flustered by Penny’s sassiness, and is absolutely petrified of Brutus and Nero.
49. Sparky (Frankenweenie)
Sparky is Victor Frankenstein’s curious and devoted pet Bull terrier dog. When he is hit by a car, Victor brings him back to life using lightning, and he becomes Frankenweenie.
50. Spot (The Good Dinosaur)
Spot is an orphaned little boy who Arlo discovers. He is the first human that Arlo sees. He is fearless and wild, but he is a survivalist.
51. Squirt (Finding Nemo/Finding Dory)
Squirt is a young sea turtle and Crush’s son. He has the same laidback attitude as his father. Squirt loves to swim the East Australian Current. He goes to school with Nemo.
52. Scott Squibbles (Monsters University)
Scott Sebastian Squibbles, also known as Squishy, is a student at Monsters University. He is a five-eyed monster and member of the Oozma Kappa fraternity. He dreamt of being a scarer, but he’s more of a shy, naive monster.
53. Stan (Finding Dory)
Stan is a kelp bass who, along with his wife, hears Dory looking for her parents when she is a baby fish. They decide to help her look for them, but Dory swims away, already forgetting what or who she is looking for.
54. Sterling (Cars 3)
Sterling is the operator of Rust-Eze Racing Center. He is greedy and mean. He is not loyal to his racecars; he only cares if they win. He tries unsuccessfully to talk Lightning McQueen into retirement.
55. Stinky Pete (Toy Story 2)
Stinky Pete (or the Prospector) is a vintage 1950s prospector ragdoll with a pull string. He is bitter because he spent his life on a shelf and was never bought. When he was finally purchased, it was by a toy collector who never took him out of the box. He will do anything to ensure the whole Roundup gang is sold to the Tokyo museum.
56. Stitch (Lilo and Stitch)
Experiment 626, better known as Stitch, is an experiment that Jumba Jookiba illegally created. He has a short temper and often misbehaves, but this is what draws Lilo to him. He feels most at home with Lilo and her family.
57. Stretch (Toy Story 3)
Stretch is a glittery purple toy octopus at Sunnyside Daycare. She is friendly to Andy’s toys when they first arrive, but she later helps Lotso prevent them from escaping. She uses her long stretchy tentacles to catch the toys.
58. Stromboli (Pinocchio)
Stromboli is a puppet master who will do anything to make money. He captures Pinnochio and won’t let him return home because he knows Pinnochio will make him a lot of money.
59. The Sultan (Aladdin)
The Sultan of Agrabah is Princess Jasmine’s father. He tries to find a potential husband for Jasmine so she can one day take over ruling the kingdom. He is easily frustrated by Jasmine’s stubbornness.
60. Sulley (Monsters Inc.)
Sulley, or James Patrick Sullivan, is the leading scarer at Monsters Inc. He accidentally lets a human child into the monster world. Sulley unwillingly becomes the child’s guardian until he can get her back home. He also figures out a better way to power Monstropolis than by using children’s screams.
61. Sven (Frozen)
Sven is Kristoff’s best friend, and he is a reindeer. Kristoff rescued him as a calf, and they have been inseparable since then. He doesn’t talk but communicates through facial expressions, gestures, and grunts.
62. Syndrome (The Incredibles)
Syndrome is the evil alter ego created by Buddy Pine when Mr. Incredible rejected him as his sidekick. He then became a supervillain and set out to rid the world of all superheroes. He doesn’t have superpowers, but he is brilliant.
