Sydney Sweeney has teamed up with the natural soap brand Dr. Squatch to do something totally unexpected. The Euphoria star is helping launch a limited-edition soap made using her actual bathwater. The product is called Sydney’s Bathwater Bliss, and it’s creating a lot of buzz online, for better or worse.

The idea started after fans kept joking about her bathwater following a Dr. Squatch commercial she did while sitting in a bubble bath. In response, Sydney and the company decided to have a little fun with it. On May 29, both she and Dr. Squatch announced the new product in a joint post on Instagram.

“You kept asking about my bathwater after the @drsquatch ad … so we kept it,” the post said. “Introducing Sydney’s Bathwater Bliss! A very real, very limited-edition soap made with my actual bathwater. Available on 6/6/25 at drsquatch.com.”

According to Dr. Squatch, the soap is a medium grit exfoliating bar that includes sand, pine bark extract, and a bit of Sydney’s real bathwater. It has a strong forest scent, with notes of pine, Douglas fir, and moss. So if you’re into outdoorsy smells, and celebrity bathwater—this might be your thing.

In a press release, Sydney said she wanted to have fun with the idea instead of ignoring it. “When your fans start asking for your bathwater, you can either ignore it, or turn it into a bar of Dr. Squatch soap,” she said. She added, “It’s weird in the best way, and I love that we created something that’s not just unforgettable, it actually smells incredible and delivers like every other Dr. Squatch product I love. Hopefully, this helps guys wake up to the realities of conventional personal care products and pushes them towards natural.”

Only 5,000 bars of Sydney’s Bathwater Bliss will be sold. There’s also a giveaway where 100 fans can win a bar before the official release on June 6. After that, it will be available on the Dr. Squatch website while supplies last.

The internet has had mixed reactions to the announcement. Some people are excited, some think it’s hilarious, and others are just confused. But love it or hate it, it’s definitely getting people talking.
